So, we decided to meet our friends for a seafood dinner, and have always seen Big Fish there next to PF Changs. We have gone fairly often to Blue Point Grill, which is fantastic, but wanted to try someplace else. Wrong choice. The food was displayed nicely. But it was simply OK. The fried calamari was good. It had a nice, light and crispy coating that wasn't oily. We also tried lobster rolls. There was some ingredient that was shredded like the cabbage, but dark green. It overpowered the rest of the roll. So, We would never try that again. It wasnt even a "good" overpowering flavor, just overpowered. I got the Broiled Seafood Platter - salmon, crab cake, stuffed shrimp and scallops "from Massachusetts." The crab cake was fairly good, and a decent size, the salmon was about 2 ounces, 3 small shrimp, and 3, maybe a quarter size, scallops. As said, it was all OK, but thtas all, just OK. Note, we were seated, and not given napkins or utensils. Our waitress was very nice, but it was a good 20 minutes before we did actually get them. we were even given bread, and still no utensils, or water. The place was not overly busy, with several empty tables (the bar, however, was packed). Our waitress just never seemed to be around, anywhere. When I had finished my beer (btw, only 4 on tap) i had to wait 5 minutes or so to ask for water, not an unreasonable time. However, it showed up over 15 minutes later. Same with coffee. When she finally came by and asked us if we wanted anything else, then actually got it, almost 15 minutes. But she always had a smile, and always was "sorry" for taking so long becuase she was so busy. Next time we meet in the Princeton area it will be at the Blue Point Grill! Oh yes, it was not very expensive, but it was also not cheap.
