“Really good Tex-Mex”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Went here twice in the past two weeks and both meals were fresh and tasty. This place is always packed so you know it has to be good and it is a BYO which helps keep your bill down. The atmosphere is a bit loud but that is due to everyone having a good time and enjoying their meals. They don't accept credit cards so remember to bring cash. They have a great selection to choose from so there is something for everyone. The have some unique dishes that I haven't seen on other menus. The salsa has a nice spicy kick and the chips are thick and very crispy. There were two very similarly named dishes and WE ordered the wrong dish and when we mentioned this to the waitress she exchanged it for the one desired without hesitation.

“Semi-hole in the wall Mexican restaurant, great food, BYOB, CASH ONLY”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

Great food! Wished they served house margaritas! Temperature was warm, not sure if the air conditioner wasn't working or not. Overall, good food. CASH only was a bit of a drawback as we rarely have cash on us and charge everything for airline miles.

“Mediocre Mexican at best”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013 via mobile

I read the reviews and can't figure out what people see in this restaurant. We went on a Saturday evening and it was busy (can't imagine why). Their food is mediocre at best, you are better off going to chain Mexican restaurant. The service was more concerned in getting you in and out fast, than anything else. They give you a small bowl of chips served with supermarket salsa. They are cash only and it's BYOB and parking is a little challenging. With so many better choices in Princeton, either they get a lot of one-time diners (like we will be) or people are willing to settle because the meal is cheaper than anything else in Princeton.

“Love this Tex-Mex”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

If you're in the Princeton area, plan a visit Tortuga's Mexican Village. This hole-in-the wall "joint" isn't much to look at, but offers up some excellent tasting Mexican food. Highly recommend the enchiladas and the Nachos Supreme! My wife likes their Chimichangas.

Place is super busy on weekends. A little pricey (but it's in Princeton) and parking can be challenging, but you won't be disappointed.

“They need a makeover on the food !”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013 via mobile

I really don't like it! The food is greasy not fresh is like a tex-mex, the sauce or salsa is the same from a dish to other only they change the meat to chicken, the guacamole is dark and taste like to much time on the fridge, and they don't accept credit card only cash and you have to wait toooooo muuuuuucccchhhh time for your change ! The place look nice to much color and that's it.
