“Good eats!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

Food is good and atmosphere is fun although a little pricy. Nice to be right downtown in the heart of things.

“A Dining Jewel in the center of Princeton”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

My business associate and I spent the past week visiting clients in NJ,PA,NY, CT and MA. By necessity we were in a different city every night. On Wednesday night we happened to be staying in Princeton, New Jersey.

After checking the internet for local restaurants, we happened upon Mediterra. Nether of us had been there before or even heard of the restaurant but it looked promising. We were able to skip ahead of the line up by making online reservations. From the moment we arrived until when we were seated was under 2 minutes (with a good sized line-up).

Service was excellent with our questions being answered quickly and recommendations made for both wine and beer. My colleague had the New York strip and I had the salmon - both were good choices. As for starters, my colleague was pleased with the oysters and I definitely enjoyed the soup of the day. We did not attempt dessert but plan to the next time we are in town.

The atmosphere was very nice with special lighting and lots of couples enjoying dinner. If anything the restaurant was a little too popular as we were able to hear conversations in every direction.

The front of the restaurant appeared to have space for tables but it ws far too cold and dark for anyone to be outside. The surrounding stores and street lights lent a magical air to the whole dining experience.

We hope to return soon and maybe spend a couple of nights exploring the restaurant's menu and the neighborhood.

“Unique food and atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

The menu is not your standard fare, but if you are adventurous and looking for something different, try Mediterra. It's worth it just to stroll around Palmer Square and Princeton University. If the weather is nice, try to sit outside by the fountain. The menu changes by season, be sure to try the tuna ceviche appetizer. Our waiter suggested great wine pairing that made our mel "pop". Can be loud inside and you can run up a big bill with apps, drinks, and dessert.
