“And Still Another Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

It's a beach, there's a boardwalk, and it's a beach. What more needs to be said? I mean really, do I need to go on with this? Okay fine, it's a family-friendly beach. happy now?

“Jenkinsons Putt-Putt Golf, Pt. Pleasant”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

This is a complete waste of money. For a family of five we spent $32 and the course was an absolute mess. We've played miniature golf for years at various beach locations and can't believe that owner/manager isn't ashamed of this course and what it offers. The landscaping was so overgrown that trees & shrubs were on top of you as you tried to hit your ball and on one hole where you hit the ball from an above area and then walk down steps to your ball into the hole, the hole was actually permanently plugged and you couldn't see that from top deck where you hit from & there was no sign indicating that it was broke. So when we lost a ball in the tubing at that hole and went back to ask for a new one, we were simply told "Oh yeah that hole is broke." We asked if maybe they should put up a sign and the employee shrugged and said that he'd mention it to his manager. They were also so lazy during a renumbering of the holes that they have old markers with painted hole numbers on them and then due to the redesign, they simply penciled in the new hole number which can barely be seen. Even the last hole #18 where typically you can win free game or even a lollipop was a huge disappointment as it was broke too. This is a hole shared by both of the 18 hole courses here and it must have been missing a center piece to distinguish each side because when we hit the ball from our side, it went up and right down and out the green for the other course. It really was obvious that there is no time or effort put into maintaining this mini golf course. Please save your money and do not play this course. Go to one of the other courses on the Boardwalk because they have to be better than this one.

“Best NJ beach and boardwalk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

My family and I went to Point Pleasant Beach for the day on August 30th and had nice time there, just like the last time we went there 4 years ago. I've been to a lot of different NJ beaches since I was a kid and this has always been my favorite. As far as NJ beaches with boardwalks, I think this one is the most family friendly. Seaside Heights has gotten too sleazy for families and while I do like Wildwood, it's too far for a day trip for North Jersey residents and the walk from their boardwalk to the ocean is almost a day trip as well. Stick with Point Pleasant for a nice family atmosphere.

“Nice clean beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

Nice and clean, the beach charge is $8/day, I despise charging for a beach, but at least this one is very nice. The slope of the beach makes for deap water rapidly. Small children may not be comfortable in the water . Parking for a charge is possible within close proximity
