had some business down in the city, coming home, we decided, it's late, lets stay the night, figured HEY days inn are always nice and clean.....Was I wrong, First when we called from our cell, to see if rooms were avail, we could not understand this guy, we both tried. We get to the place, and we are "buzzed" in, still I had a hard time understanding the gentleman, who was far from being pleasent in any way, shape, or form. He asked me how I wanted to pay, I left my credit card in the vehicle, so I said do you mind if I pay in cash? he said I could, when he told me what I owe'd, I said wait a minute, you charged me double, his reply, you must pay $50.00 deposit on room???? I replied, your taking all my cash, he said $50.00 deposit....Oh well. I then asked, can we please have extra towels, he said, there are towels in the room, I replied, I'm sure that's true, but we would like extra towels, appearently this was a chore to him, because he let out a gust of warm air, and went to the back, returning with one (1) stained, abraisive, off white thing. I replied , thank you, and went out to my vehicle, and drove to our room, I told my fiancee' to stay, while I went up and checked out the room..........OH MY!...The only thing missing was the crack [--] It stunk, the floors were not cleaned, tile and carpet had gravel and rocksalt all over, still urine in the toilet, from the last occupants. The bed spreads were stained, the t.v. was a 1950's model, the remote had a piece of tape, where the battery cover was supposed to be. At this point, I pondered was the reason this place is so cheap, because I was paying buy the hour?? I did not stick around and find out, I ran down the stairs, got in my vehicle, and drove back to the office, was "buzzed" back in, I said to the man, I would like a refund please, he did not seemed shocked, did not even ask what was wrong, he did have the audacity to ask, if we took, or used anything in the room!, I very politely informed him, I would not let my dog, take a dump in the room, let alone take anything. Does this sound like I am exaggerating a bit...the said part is, I am not....We drove up the road, a mile, paid $25.00 more and stayed in one of the most beautiful hampton inns I have ever stayed, it was better then sheraton suites in D.C.
