“Watching chirppers instead of playing chips neat Atlantic City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

With just a short 20 min drive from AC, you are rewarded with sights of nature and birds via an eight mile drive. Go there early in the morning or just before sunset if you also happen to be a bird photographer.

“Plan to be there a while!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

The first day we only did the wildlife drive through the park, which is 8 miles. We saw lots of egrets, herons, osprey and other birds. We even saw a deer while out on the drive. We went back another day and did the second half of the drive a little slower and later enjoyed some of the trails, kicking up some deer as we were walking! We packed a lunch the second day and enjoyed a picnic at the car while out on the drive. The only thing that is missing is a rest stop out on the drive. It is one-way driving and they really need to put some facilities half way through. We had to cut it short each time to use the restrooms back at the office. You do pay for the drive, but it was only $4/car and well worth it.

“...Even if you are not a birdwatcher”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

First there is the 8 mile drive where you can stop and observe birds and other wildlife. There are observation towers to offer more perspective. There are walks/paths through wooded sections. Even if you are not an avid birdwatcher this is a soulful enjoyable way to spend a few hours. $4.00 entry.

“Well worth the time,”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

I gave thus 5 stars because of the 8 mile drive. You are surrounded by water and can see the skyline of Atlantic City across the Bay. The road is level, although it is dirt, it us hard-packed. The marshes and scenery are lovely.

“Good place to see nature”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

We saw a few birds, numerous crabs, many deer and some butterflies. The views of Atlantic City were also beautiful. This is a great place to go for a walk and enjoy nature.
