“Ultimate relaxation!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2009

We have never stayed in the Ocean Grove area so we reallly did not know what to expect. When we arrived very early in the morning we went inside to look at the brochures to find a place for breakfast. We were warmly greeted by Bob, the general manager who was very welcoming! and told us that we could have breakfast there even though it was not time for us to check in yet. After a wonderful breakfast with a variety of food for all palettes we were able to change into our bathing suits and head to the beach. Bob would call us at the beach on our cell phone when the room was ready. The inn had a lovely wrap around porch on the first floor where we enjoyed ocean breezes and met some wonderful people also staying at the inn. The second floor porch was for breakfast where you could sit and see the ocean and the beautiful victorian houses around the center green. On the third floor you could go out on the porch to get breathtaking veiws of your surroundings!! They alos have special nights where they will cook supper on the grill complete with dessert if you just want to stay in for an evening. It is a short walk to the beach and you get to wak by some very beautiful victorian housesOverall, Bob and his staff were very accomodatting and saw to our every need. We can't wait to go back to this inn next year.

Very clean, very friendly hosts, free snacks, wonderful continental breakfast. Very close to beach. No complaints! Parking is difficult but you will have that problem with any place in Ocean Grove because it is almost all street parking. While you are there, check out Day's Ice Cream a few blocks over!

Make sure to get your beach tags at the front desk -- they are 4.00 rather than 7.00 if you buy them on the boardwalk!

Another great weekend at the Ocean Plaza!! My Aunt and I just love this place. Everything is neat, clean, and comfortable and the staff is just absolutely wonderful. They truly go out of their way to make sure you want for nothing and they could not be nicer or friendlier.
We stayed in a different room this year and although not on the same floor and a totally different lay out, the room was as lovely as the one from the year before.
My Aunt just loves sitting on the second floor porch looking out over Ocean Grove. Great way to spend time in the afternoon.
Thank you again for another wonderful weekend; hope to be back next year.

I took my daughter and her friend for a girls 3-day trip and wanted a safe, friendly place that I could enjoy and the girls would not think was for "old people." My daughter is very critical and she was a little concerned that we didn't go to Pt. Pleasant or Seaside. We had a fabulous experience. Bob and Vicki know what hospitality is all about. There was nothing they did not attend to; the rooms are lovely, the food meets everyone's tastes (not the typical boring continental breakfast) and the amenities were perfect! We had a refrigerator in our room, and they offered snacks at no charge. The BBQ, available 3 nights a week, is better than most restaurants. And, the location couldn't be more perfect. I can't wait to go back to show this great find to other family members. This was the best few days I have experienced down the shore in my adult life. Thanks to Bob, Vicki, Buff, the BBQ cook (didn't get his name) and the rest of the terrific staff!

I rented a house in Ocean Grove three years ago and came upon The Ocean Plaza on my way to the beach. I never rented a house again. Every summer we stay at The Ocean Plaza for as many weekends as possible. I cannot count how many times that I have been back but I have never had a complaint. The rooms are clean and no detail is overlooked. Bob and his trusty canine sidekick, Buff, should be filled with pride for maintaining perfection!

unless you deserve to be treated to the best experience the Jersey Shore has to offer!! The food at the Ocean Plaza is unbelievable! The views...well, take a look at the pictures we enclosed. The beach is clean. Our hosts are amazing! (We even got to meet the owners who happened to be visiting.) We walked on the boardwalk at all hours of the night and felt perfectly safe. Did we mention the food? Atlantic City is an easy 1 and 1/2 hour drive away. Our room was the quaintest, most relaxing haven to retreat to after a day at the beach. (Room 16, third floor with a private balcony, the "exercise" up to it will do you good!) But the best reasons to recommend the Ocean Plaza are our hosts: Bob, Buff, Vicki, and Patrick! (We have made day trips to Ocean Grove, stopped in to say "hello," and have been greeted warmly. Unbelievable! They always remember us kindly.) As a gift to our church youth pastor and his family, we got them an overnight stay that they thoroughly enjoyed. So, if you are looking to give anyone you know a special gift, give them a gift certificate for a relaxing getaway.

I stayed here for one night while I was in the area visiting friends who live nearby. The Inn is very charming with a home-y feel. The room was clean and comfortable. It was one of the smaller rooms I think but perfectly fine for two people. There are snacks available 24-7 and a decent breakfast that included various muffins, pastries, dry cereal, oatmeal packets, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea etc on the second floor porch. The Inn is right down the street from the beach and a block or two from the Main Ave that is filled with charming antique and gift shops, coffee shop, two great bakeries, ice cream, a pizza joint, etc. I really want to come back when the beach is open and stay for a few days.
