My family and I stayed in the Beach Club Hotel for a long weekend in September, after Labor Day. My father liked the motel, better than other places we'd stayed in Ocean City. The benefits of this motel include balconies for the hotel rooms, enclosed hallways, plenty of drink and snack vending machines, a nice location right on the boardwalk, and a secure entry to the hotel from the boardwalk.
I found the motel to be dark and dreary. As one of the more expensive motels on the beach, I feel like the decor and amenities should be much better. It's location alone doesn't give enough reason to be more expensive than other places near the beach, like its sister motel the Impala Island Inn. Its restaurant was nothing special, nor was its pool. Although the Impala Island Inn doesn't have balconies or enclosed hall, I much preferred that motel. It seemed lighter and a tad more up to date.
