“We had an awesome time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2010

We stayed at the Wild Dunes Inn on 10th street across from Castaway Cove (amusement park). Ocean City is such a family friendly place - no bars. We biked on the boardwalk in the morning and one day we did a surrey cart (great fun for a family). The beach is beautiful. We went to the sand castle contest one morning on the sufing beach. You can take surfing lessons on the surfing beach. The water was wonderful. At night the boardwalk has lots of things to do from minigolf to ice cream. Tons of restaurants on the boardwalk - we love Prep's pizza. The Wild Dunes Inn 2-room hotel room was a great respite from all the activities. Newly renovated kitchen area was beautiful and clean. The rugs were recently replaced in all the rooms. They had great air conditioning. The kitchen had dishes, glasses, silverware and pots and pans to cook up breakfast each morning. An good size refrigerator to keep all our beverages and snack foods. The master bedroom has a king bed and the living room has a pull-out sofa. Both rooms have a TV set so we weren't stuck watching Sponge Bob all the time with the teens. Check out Ocean City and Wild Dunes Inn this summer!

As promised to my wife we returned to the Wild Dunes Inn in July. We had a blast on the beach and Boardwalk. We did not have any issues with beach tags as the room was ready when we arrived? The hotel staff was awesome!! We did not pack much just beach gear as we were able to use the laundry room every night. . This by far the best location and value in Ocean City. See you soon Dunes!

Check out the Hamburger Construction Co. Their fried onion cheeseburger is to die for!!!

On the positive side.... It was pretty clean and very conveniently located to the boardwalk. Here come the negatives: Across the street from the amusement park and the roller coaster is very noisy and does not stop running until between 11:15 and 11:30 pm on weekends. Next, the room next to us had little kids who were up very early every morning screaming at 7 am. I know that is not the hotels fault but still very annoying. Lastly, and most important, is their beach badge and parking policy. They advertise 2 free beach passes and parking per room per day. Check-out is at 11 am therefore, you need to give them back the parking spot and beach badges at 11 am, no exception's, we tried. What that means is we payed to stay there for 2 nights but only was able to park our car for one beach day and use the beach passes for 1 day. I understand they need the rooms back to clean them, but I never heard of giving back your parking. Their rational is that they needed this stuff back for the people who were checking in that day. We asked if we could have the parking and badges until 3 pm (since check-in is started at 4 pm) they turned us down because they said they needed it for the people who might be checking in early. Obviously they are more accommodating for those arriving then those who are already checked in. Mind you season beach badges only cost $20 per season, so I think they should invest in a few more to accommodate their current guests vs. pissing them off. Also, the parking lot was half empty,so don't understand why the car needed to be moved. Would never stay here again if this is how they treat their customers. BEWARE!

For purpose of clarifications, priority is always given to the arrivals. We are happy to allow parking and beach tags for early arrivals for all our guests. Due to this policy, departing guests are notified that they are welcome to continue to use the property, but must turn in their beach tags and find other parking. If the availability allows, we will take a deposit on the beach tags and allow our departing guest to use them after check-out. Check-in for Wild Dunes is 2:30pm. Thank you.

The location is amazing, you honestly walk down the steps of the hotel and onto the heart of the boardwalk. It is comfortable and clean. It is great that there are access to pools even though they were closed when I went. I would definitely recommend this to a friend...

Just spent a relaxing week at the Wild Dunes in in Ocean City. It is a condo hotel building located literally steps from the boardwalk, beach, and ocean. The building has ground level free parking and two floors of living units. Our unit was recently renovated and included a living room with a sleep sofa, a small kitchen area, a bathroom, and a bedroom with a large bed. It was very comfortable and the location could not be beat. The reception desk and swimming pool are both located at the Impala Hotel across the street and the staff there were very helpful. Although we traveled without children, Ocean City is a fabulous quiet resort town with plenty of activities for both adults and kids of all ages.

This is a place that you need to know someone to find out about it. If you have children, old or young, then this is a great place for you to stay.
The condo is very clean, newly modernized. and footsteps away from the beach and boardwalk. The rides and food establishments are along the boardwalk easliy assessible to you. Once you park your car you dont have to take it out again until its time to go home. Theres a king size bed in the large bedroom, and a comfortable pull out in the living room that sleeps two, Televisions in both rooms, kitchen area to cook and eat.. Beach tags available, free private parking, laundry facilities. what else could you ask for? Oh I almost forgot, if you are looking for a place where your not going to get a million drinking teens the town is dry so they dont sell alcohol in town. so you wont have to worry about having a neighbor that keeps you up all night!!
