We've used Wild Dunes Inn a few times, both on and off season. It is a half block from the boardwalk, and a great part of the boardwalk too!
We are here for the First Night New Years activities and it is soooo cold that you don't always want to walk very far. But we don't have to. Restaurants, coffee, and shopping are all within a few blocks, and we can actually see the beach from our third floor room.
The full kitchenette means we don't have to eat out all the time. The unit is spotless clean. The back bedroom is incredibly quiet. And the internet is free and working well. Parking under the building means that even if it snows, we'll be dry loading up the car.
The desk clerk was also incredibly helpful when we asked about places to have dinner that were still open this time of year. They've always been nice here. We really appreciate them (and their sister property, Impala Island Inn).
Great place to stay.
