Arlene's is a small, homey cafe downtown with fabulous breakfasts. (They're open until early/mid afternoon and also serve lunch, which I'm sure is also great but I didn't need lunch after these amazing breakfasts.) Try the smoked salmon crepe with capers, cream cheese and broiled tomatoes -- yum. Also had the shore version of eggs benedict, which features crabmeat, and it was wonderful, too. Others in my group enjoyed blueberry pancakes and french toast. This is not a touristy place at all, feels very local. Bathroom is small and unisex, in case that bothers you, but clean. You'll spend about $10-12 per person for a very substantial breakfast, although there are less expensive options, too. Menu includes gluten-free choices.
