“Great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

We just finished a great five night stay at the Seaport Inn. The rooms were bright and clean. GM Sally and her staff were sooooo friendly and went out of their way to make our vacation special. The only regret is not finding this place sooner. We definitely will be coming back.

Very clean. Compact. Bright. New. Staff extremely friendly - couldn't have been nicer. I took some time off by myself but 1 plus for future reference is that the bathroom/shower/tub has its own door. Also, the windows open for that great sea air. I was also pleasantly surprised that they opened the windows on the unrented rooms (this was off-season, weekdays) during the daytime (it was sunny) instead of leaving them closed up like most places. Extra work for them - fresher environment for guests. Reasonable rates. (Compare what you get with prices elsewhere in OC). I will definitely repeat.

We stayed at the Seaport in July after booking at the last minute. I have been going to Ocean City for over 40yrs and have stayed in many of the hotels/motels and rental properties on the island. I'm not sure when the Seaport was redone, but the owners did a beatiful job! Our room was very nicely decorated and spotless, the beds were very comfortable & the air-conditioning worked wonders for a hot July weekend. Our unit had a full-size refrigerator, small sink and cooktop; all eating utensils, pots/pans, plates and dishwashing soap were included. The cooking area was small, but it is a motel room & we were not cooking meals, just some light things to pack for the beach. From what I can see in pictures on the motel's website, it dosen't look like all rooms have full-sized refrigerators (some have the small ones), so if this is important for you, be sure to make that request. The bathroom was also on the small side, but adequate for showering & getting ready (and spotless!). Even the outside walkway of our room was clean. I am very particular of motel units at the shore (yes I do take the sheets off to see if the mattress is clean) and I must say the staff does a wonderful job! There is no pool here, but the hotel is a short walk to the beach so it really isn't missed. The people working the front desk are very helpful & accomodating, beach tags are included. During the day there is always someone from the staff on property but they are not intrusive. And the price? One of the best on the island! I almost don't want to publicize this little gem because we will definitely return!

Room Tip: from what I see in pictures on the motel's website, it dosen't look like all the rooms have...

My husband, sons ages 10 and 12 and myself just spent the Labor Day weekend at the Seaport Inn. I chose the Seaport because they offered a great 4 day special and the review on Trip Advisor were all so good. Well, the reviews were right. Everything in this place was brand new...and I mean everything. It was clean, comfortable and convenient. Normally, we would rent a condo for the week, but were unable to do so this year. This was a great alternative. The kitchenette was a nice bonus and it was great to not have to pack linens and have to clean up upon departure. The staff was very nice as well. My only suggestions would be adding a bike rack on site and maybe someplace to hang wet beach towels, etc. Other than that, keep up the good work. We'll definetly be back....hopefully sooner than later.

I found this hotel on Trip Advisor and we were very happy with it. The room was small, but clean & bright. I have a 16 month-old, so having the kitchenette was very important and very handy. Such a great location - convenient to beach, boardwalk & downtown. The staff was friendly & helpful, as well. I just wish the price was a little more reasonable. Despite that, I'd stay there again, but not for more than a couple of nights based on the room size. That's not a criticism, just the truth!!

So glad you chose the Seaport Inn for your stay. One of our best features is that we are so close to the beach, boardwalk, and downtown shopping. Very convenient for families. Sorry to hear you felt the prices were a little high. August is our prime time for booking so unfortunately they are a little higher then at other times. However, we take pride in the fact that we keep our prices below or comparable to other motels in town. In closing, we hope you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to seeing you in the future.

We booked the Seaport Inn based on the reviews on TripAdvisor. We stayed over the Labor Day weekend. The motel is just as described. The rooms were spotless. The staff is extremely friendly. The motel is convenient to the boardwalk and downtown. The room and beds were comfortable. The kitchenette is a great added feature. We like to buy drinks at the dollar store and having a nice size fridge to keep them in is great. My family likes taking weekend trips to OCNJ and we will definitely be staying at the Seaport Inn again.

We decided to try to the Seaport Inn Motel, and are so glad we did. It was very clean and the owner was friendly and helpful. You can park your car on site, and the motel is very close to the beach, boardwalk, shops and restaurants. The room had a refrigerator and kitchenette, which is helpful if you have small kids or just don't want to go out for every meal. The decor is very nice, too. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly, and hope to return.
