“Vintage Jersey Shore Motel for Vintage Autos”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

The hotel was clean, a little dated, like our vintage 60's cars. Bathrooms very small. Nice pool and patio on the second and third floors to gather, restaurant on premise for breakfast, lunch. Breakfast was good and better than lunch. Cheese-steak and burger bread were stale. Rooms were large, recommend the king rooms on second floor. Flat screen ty, fridge and micro wave in room, but no coffee, probably since restaurant on site. Check in was seamless and service was good. Stayed with a large group of folks with vintage cars for the OC car show. Parking there is not the most convenient and some folks have to park three in a row. If you are on the outside, they may need to move your car(s).
Manager was not very accommodating for parking for our large party, especially since we had a lot of rooms. There was a lot across the street they could have easily reserved for us and our vintage autos. I guess they are not car people who understand their value and difficulty to fix after people accidentally hitting them with doors etc.
We did get a good rate though and were able to park relatively safely but had to ask some folks to relocate their cars. The manager could have easily helped with that prior to our arrival.
Bed needed to be replaced. Slept in a valley and did not have a restful sleep. Room was clean, window air conditioner a little noisy but constant so you got used to it. Outside balcony was nice.

Room Tip: Upper floors away from pool, room with newer bed.

Updating my prior review, before I get there tomorrow, for a two night stay. The person on the desk was very friendly. They are again running a three night special after Labor Day weekend. Since I was only staying two nights I did not qualify for that rate. However they gave be a rate almost $20.00 per night less expensive that was posted on their web page/internet. Thank you Forum Motor Inn again.

Room Tip: They are all great.

Been staying at the Forum many years and the staff is the best! Always free to help and give advice on where to go and where to eat. Clean rooms, yeah place is old but clean and that's important to me. Will be coming back in future years.

My first time at OC New Jersey. The rooms were about as clean as one could hope for in an older motel, so that was a big plus. The interior needs some updating, in my opinion. Nothing in it says (or even whispers), 'I'm on vacation at the beach.' Also, the windows and doors are poorly insulated, so a lot of warm air gets in while cool air escapes. As a result, people sleeping near the AC unit will freeze all night while the people in the far bed sweat all night. You also have to request housekeeping services, which is a new concept to me. In all other hotels I've ever stayed in, this happens daily and automatically. Not sure if that's common in most hotels in this area, but I'm not used to it. All that being said, the cleanliness, location, and quiet stay we enjoyed still makes this a place I would recommend.

The Forum Motor Inn, in Ocean City New Jersey is a good choice for a family vacation. The rooms are very clean and equipped with a large safe for your valuables. The pool is a very good alternative to the beach, which is only a short block or two walk. The Inn has an excellent restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Inn is in an excellent location to for amusements, other restaurants and beach shopping.

Room Tip: Quieter rooms away from the pool might be a good idea if one needs quiet during the day

We have been coming back to the Forum Motor Inn for many years with my children/grandchildren. We love it!

It's a fabulous location - a block from the beach right in between the two piers. Even though it's near the action - it's a very family place so not noisy and crazy as some places are.

There is a wide range of room types from a regular room to an apartment which still includes maid service (but with a full kitchen/2 full large bedrooms and living room). All are kept very clean and well-kept.

There is a nice pool with a kiddie pool which is nice for the little ones. They even started pool service so you can order a little lunch while relaxing by the pool. There is also a small arcade with a ping pong table to allow for some additional fun times.

The staff are friendly and caring....treat you like extended family!

Room Tip: There are rooms around the pool if you want a convenient location to the pool!

We have stayed at other properties in OC and this was the best. We did a quick last-minute stay and I am so happy we were able to get a room. The staff was VERY accomodating. We got in very early and even though we could not check in, they gave us beach tags and a parking pass as well as access to the changing rooms and shower. We were able to spend the day at the beach without having to worry about parking and freshening up.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The beds were delicously soft and there was plenty of room for all of our things. I especially enjoyed the street-facing balcony. It was great for people-watching.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is a quick walk to the beach and across the street from the bicycle rentals. I didn't have a chance to get in the pool but the pool area looked nice and not cramped like some of the other pools in the area.

All in all we had a wonderful stay and would absolutley stay here again.
