“Golfing and More at ACCC!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

My buddy and I are traveling the US over time playing golf in as many US States as possible. This summer trip included a stop at Atlantic City Country Club to count for New Jersey.

ACCC could not have presented itself any better. The course was in immaculate shape. It is a challenging course so pick your tee wisely. But once you do just sit back and enjoy it. The views of the "mainland" are awesome! There is plenty of natural wildlife. It is a fair test of your skills. Be prepared to use every club in the bag!

Not only did the golf course present itself well, so did the staff. Each person went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We played before 9AM so the green fees were $150.00. However, their fee schedule has some less expensive options.

The history inside alone makes this a must see (ask about the bell!!). But anyone that enjoys golf and is anywhere near ACCC needs to play this course. You will be glad you did.

BTW: My friend and I actually birdied the hole where the term "birdie" was coined.

“Like Walking into a Time Zone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014

You know you are on a piece of historic property when the entrance sign says "Established 1895" and the trolley bell in front of the clubhouse reminds everyone of a time long gone. This is an "old school" golf course that oozes charm, nostalgia, character and challenge. I played A.C.C.C. twice this past week and found the course to be a real delight, with breathtaking views and an interesting lay out. The conditions were not the best, as it was still cold out and the grass needed time to grow, but who cares ? The place was a gem.The staff was extremely helpful, the locker room and dining area were from another era and the 21st century hotels and casinos were just across the marsh - if you wanted to go there . I would just as soon stay put, ring the trolley bell and play another round....

“Piece of History”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

Got a great deal on a group outing to the golf course at Atlantic City Country Club. Had been there once before for a wedding reception. Yes it IS right out of Boardwalk Empire. We had a really early tee time - it was still dark when we pulled into the parking lot. I do not think they had a full crew ready at that time, so I cannot judge the breakfast setup or the employee staffing. Those that were there in the early am seemed a little backed up, particularly in the dining room, when we stopped in for sandwiches at the turn. When it appeared that things were running a little late for the "2 minute" breakfast sandwich, one of the guys said he would just run them out to us on the course. Thank you so much. He was great. ditto the cart girl. anyhow, the course itself was a little tricky for us; the scorecard did not have a map on it, and at least twice we could not find the green from the tee box. we had to look around a lot. also, the short 17th par 3 does in fact have a forward tee box that is in the weeds, and we drove right past it. I imagine the members know the course, and also there are caddies - so our party did not have those services at that early hour, with the group rate. Having said all that, the course is beautiful It has a great view of the AC skyline on many holes, and it is immaculately groomed. Many old touches, like the wooden cart paths. Watch you don't spill your coffee; it's a bumpy ride. The greens were very fast, and were a problem for me all day. They slope a lot on some holes and are also multi-levered. If you do not know the course, it is easy to find your ball run almost off the green. Beware the sand traps. Sometimes we did not realize they were there. Overall, though it you have the time, and the $, it is a beautiful golf course. And the red fox on the third hole made our day. Apparently she lives there. Not shy at all.

“A must play”

Fantastic golf course. Best public course in NJ. Take a caddie and walk the course. The clubhouse is like a golf museum.
