The manager (I think her name is Louise) was very rude to us during our stay. She practically accused my 15 year old grandson of stealing the ping pong paddles we were using, although he got them from someone in the motel office. She also yelled at us for playing ping pong in the courtyard at 8:00 a.m., saying we were not allowed to be in the courtyard until 10 a.m. - but, the rule book in our room said quiet time was from 11 p.m. until 8 a.m. And we were talking, but we were not yelling or carrying on. Also, when we checked in and she found out where we were from (WV) she made a derogatory comment. Our room was #115 and it was awful. The bathroom was gross, the carpet was horrible. Dirty and sticky, and my daughter has 2 young sons - the filthy carpet was not acceptable for people with young children. I understand that the units are mostly owned by individuals, but management needs to make certain that the owners are keeping up with maintenance and renovations as needed. The bedrooms were okay but the beds were not very comfortable. You were not allowed to have floats in the pool, but kids had boogie boards in the pool anyway. The "adults" would sit by the pool drinking all day, taking up all the tables and chairs so there was nowhere to sit or hang out. I would never return to the Trylon, and probably would not ever go back to Wildwood, either. We were there for 6 days and the only friendly person we met the entire time was our waitress at Adam's Restaurant on the Boardwalk. Personally, I think you can find a better hotel on the beach for the money. Stay away from the Trylon.
Just don't book a room at the Trylon. Try Montego Bay.

We here at the Trylon have customers from all over the world. Unfortunately every once in a while there is a guest that thinks rules don`t apply to them Our facilities are to be shared by all guests. These particular guests did take the ping pong paddles back to their room---oblivious that someone else would want to use them. They were discourteous and did a poor job of supervising their children. Ball play is prohibited before 10 AM. Common sense would dictate that other guests are still sleeping.

The unit was a two bedroom apt that sleeps eight. Has flat screen tv and is updated. Newer beds and no complaints this season. Unfortunately in this day and age--people can take to the internet and say whatever they want. Our two bedroom units are prebooked all summer. They were here in the offseason. The condition the room was left in says alot about its occupants.
