“Beware Room 217”

I have to agree with the previous post in regards to room 217. This room was horrible and never updated. Nothing like the pictures in the brochure we requested prior to booking. Just beware that each room is seperately owned and the hotel staff is just managing the facility for the owners. Some owners take more pride in keeping their places nicer than some of the other owners.

We stayed at the Roman Holiday in June 2007 which is 2 resort up from the Trylon. We thought we would like to try a different place which we do often. We checked out Trylon's website and the pictures of the room's looked really nice. We booked our reservation several months ago. When we arrived at room 217 I was instantly taken back by the condition of the room. Mold on the ceiling, the AC was a window unit in the bedroom that kept freezing up, handles missing from the few kitchen cabinets, no pictures on the wall, tv in bedroom did not work, microwave was the smallest one Ive ever seen, the flourescent light over the shower was exposed and you could see the wires hanging out, old dark paneling in the bedroom. This room was never renovated or updated. After an hour I went to the office and told the lady we would not stay in the room because of all of the above and that the hotel pictures were deceiving. There was an older retired couple in the room next to us that their son owned and their place was very nice, we were also able to see in some of the other rooms that were totally renovated. Unfortunately, each room is privately owned. The lady in the office refunded our money without any problem. She told me the fellow that owed the room had no desire to put any money into fixing it up and that is why she refunded our money so easily, since the hotel's policy is no refunds. The hotel does have a nice pull and a great location, but beware that not all of the rooms have been kept up to date. We ended up going down to Wildwood Crest which is only a mile away and stayed at the Sinapore which was pretty decent.

This was our 2nd year at the Trylon for our extended family vacation. The location, right across the street from the beach is great. Many things about the Trylon are good, ie. gas grills, ocean view, but the rooms are DIRTY. I'm talking kitchen grease and that gray mung that collects on top. It looked like everything had been given a quick once-over, not really cleaned. It's pricie for North Wildwood, $1500 for 6 nights. They need to take a few hours and thoroughly clean the place.

Me and my family stayed at the Trylon for a week in June 2006. We had a great time! Everyone was very pleased and impressed with their rooms. I was very excited about visiting the Wildwoods and Louise was such a pleasant help to me. I have to admit that I became a little leary as I read many negative reviews that made me second guess my decision of staying here. But my advise to anyone thinking of going here is to judge for yourself and don't lean totally on reviews. Everyone has their own opinions and expectations and I could have missed out on an excellent vacation had I listened to them. We actually rented a loft unit and a one bedroom unit. They both were very nice. The loft had two bathrooms and an awesome view of the ocean from upstairs. The one bedroom was very roomy and nicely designed. We had a perfect view of the ocean and were right at the beginning of the boardwalk. One of my favorites of the Trylon is the gas grills right in the courtyard! The only thing was the rain! It rained alot that week. We had one full sunny warm day that everyone spent on the beach and in the pool, but it still was nice and we took those rainy days as opportunity to do some inside stuff, one day we even drove to Atlantic City for the day. It is very close to North Wildwood. Long story short, it was a very cozy place, we had a great time and Louise is so sweet. We will definitely come back to stay again!

“Wonderful Location!”

Trylon Motel

We stayed at the Trylon the beginning of August.
The location is wonderful! The beach is just across the street and the boardwalk and famous Tram car ride(if you don't want to walk the boards) start right at the next block . The units were clean and everyone decorated different because they are individually owned, the coutryard was just great to have dinner, listen to music and just relax at night watching everyone enjoy themself. Great place for the little ones.
We were told coffee would be available each morning but that was taken away when the office lady stated one of the renters filled a pot to bring back to the unit so it would not be available for the rest of the week at the request of the cond. president.
Well, what about the rest of us? So if you stay at the Trylon have each family member get coffee with a cup!!
We met some of the owners of the conds. and they were friendly and helpful in recommending sight , places to eat, shop and you can tell they told great pride in the Trylon.
