“HORRIBLE Customer Service”

We booked in advance through Travelocity for a Sunday night. The previous Friday we called to add Saturday to our reservation. We were given a confirmation number and a price quote of $142. When we got to the hotel on Saturday, we checked in and the room was Perfect and exactly what we expected. On Sunday morning, we went into NYC, and received a call from the hotel telling us that we were supposed to check out. We told them, NO, we have a continuing reservation for Sunday. When we returned back to the hotel Sunday night, our hotel room was locked and they would not let us back into our room. The staff called and confirmed our travelocity reservation, thank God we had the info in hand. This took over half an hour to rectify and let us in our room where all our belongs were.

We checked out Monday morning, and once we got home, noticed that the hotel had charged us $279.99 for one night!! We have been dealing with the Customer Service center and the hotel at the same time and the hotel is currently refusing to fix the rate in which we reserved the room for. Might I add, we kept records of confirmation numbers and names of staff. What a hassle!

We now have to wait several more days for the hotel to attempt to rectify, before Customer Service can step in! I will never again stay here, regardless of how clean the hotel room was. I could have stayed in the city for that price!!!

This hotel did not take away the stress of traveling to Manhattan as we wanted it to. First, the hotel isn't in the best area. NOT to say I felt unsafe, but I am not so sure about the area, could definitely be cleaned up. We arrived around 9pm. The woman at the front desk was nice and helpful. At this point we found out the shuttle ONLY leaves the hotel at 3 different times in the morning (starting at 6 I believe) and leaves Manhattan to come back to the hotel 3 different times (starting at 8pm) By reading the reviews before, I was under the impression that I could get a shuttle back midday. Asked the driver and there was no negotiating. There were no instructions as to what to do if you can't get the shuttle. I read in the reviews about a bus going by, but had no information on where that dropped off, or where to get on. That would have been helpful. Also would have been helpful to know that taxis do not have to take you to New Jersey, and if they do, they will most likely charge you a bundle. This information should have been more readily available. The room was average, seemed clean. Definitely a smaller room, but for a one night stay it was manageable. The beds were not comfortable. We did take the shuttle to the city in the morning and ended up getting a taxi back, which got lost.
