Great stay at this hotel...I agree it was a little difficult to find but its very clean..very friendly and accomodating staff and we did feel safe..breakfast was good...they served...waffles, cold cereal, warm oatmeal (instant) fresh fruit, bagels and breads and muffins.. coffee and apples 24 hours a day in the lobby which was nice. a quick drive to New York City about 20 minutes...bring cash for tolls.about 3 dollars each way. very close to Ellis Island and statue of Liberty.

We needed a room because of an early morning flight out of Newark. This place is ok and just opposite the airport. The hotel shuttle is shared with 2 other Marriott hotels so it was very crowded from the airport to the hotel, but okay in the morning when we left for the airport again. I would like to hotel to start breakfast a bit earlier, because 6 am is not early when guests have to get on the 8 am flights.... Most airport hotels we have stayed in in Europe start breakfast earlier in order to serve the guests with the early flights.

Made it from Yongstown OH to Newark in less than 7 hours,then took an hour to find hotel. I have never been to a place that was so hard to get to. Must have drove by it 5x,unable to navigate route to hotel entrance.It is located between major routes and you must make all the right turns or you will be cruising right by.

With that said, room was large and bed comfortable. Breakfast was free and good.Staff was helpful and courteous.Path train to NYC from Penn Station Newark was a $1.50., Station is about 3 miles away,parking available.

I was very upset that the hotel room was not ready when we arrived and not even ready at check in time. We waited a total of an hour from the time we arrived, even a half hour past the check in time. We couldn't go to the hotel across the street, which had rooms available, because we couldn't get a refund from the hotel we had prepaid and the room was not ready at the quoted time. Very poor service. In addition, the service was grumpy, front desk had an attitude, and they were apparently short staffed because I had to go down to the lobby in my PJs and slippers to get "extra" pillow (sofa bed had only one pillow) and towels, which they touted on their website as each room having extra towels. I will never go to another SpringHill again!
