The staff at this Best Western went out of their way to make sure my 2 unplanned 2 night stay in Newark was as comfortable as possible. I was stuck in Newark for 2 days due to a major snowstorm on the east coast and flights were cancelled. Would recommend this hotel to anyone that has to stopover. Rates were good and included a nice buffet breakfast. Apparently, there is a better rate if you book in advance online too.

Room Tip: I think all room are large and have a nice sitting area but it could be because I had a King size be...

We stayed at the Best Western while visiting New York. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast area was fine, very busy but the attendant was trying to keep up with the crowd. They should cook the scrambled longer they were very watery and clean the counter and table more often with a clean cloth. The front desk staff were very nice and help us. We used the shuttle to get to the Penn Station and traveled on the Path train, you can get either to World Trade Center or at 33th Street. The only inconvenient is you have to pay again to get in the New York subway. The shuttle system is effective except every time people were running to get in and we had to wait for the next shuttle. The drivers are driving little too fast. The hotel was busy with students. Driving there was fine with the GPS. This hotel is a good option if you want to visit New York City.

We fly in and out of EWR frequently on our way to Europe and often end up with a bad connection to Denver which requires an over night in Newark. The Marriot at EWR is nearly $300 a night. This Best Western is around $100 with breakfast and free airport shuttle to and from the airport. It is very clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and bed and bedding was very nice. You can't go wrong with this hotel, so much better than spending the night at the Newark airport!

It is convenient for those taking flights in Newark airport, which was not my case.
It is located in a express way and for those who are not familiar driving there it was very difficult to get to the hotel, if you missed the exit you'd have to drive 10 miles or more to be able to get back on track.
The air conditioner of the room was very loud, and I've awoke several times at night because of it.
The frontdesk staff was very helpful.
The breakfast was not included in the rate. I've bought a cup of fruits in a cafeteria located at the lobby, the fruits tasted spoilt and I've asked to change it for something else. It was changed, but the lady didn't even apologize about that...

Let me start by saying I am a very loyal Best Western customer. That being said, this location is at best, average. The reason we use it, we take cruises out of "Cape Liberty, Bayonne, N.J." , just the other side of the turnpike. This location could use a few dollars spent on the appearance. The rooms are comfortable but not in the best of shape. New carpets, would be great and better attention to the details or maintenance. (pealing paint in places, grout missing in others) NOT EVERY ROOM IS IN THIS SHAPE. We have stayed there at times and the room had been 100 percent wonderful. My guess is that they are upgrading when they can. Location can be difficult to find without a good GPS. GOOD STUFF - Restaurant onsite was good.- service was good. Included breakfast was hot where it should be hot and cold where it should be cold. They have a "park and cruise" and "park and fly" package that is great. They take care of your car, give you a ride to/from the cruise port/airport. Everyone that works there is friendly and helpful. We stay there whenever we use the cruise port. Convenient for that, but would not stay there except for that package.

Room Tip: Parking for just an overnight stay is at a premium. - Great if you are using the Park and Cruise/F...
