NYC prices with South of the Border service. Nowhere NEAR worth the 119/night we were charged even as part of a "Rutgers Parents" package. Stayed on the 6th floor where ALL NIGHT LONG we heard the constant noise of traffic on route 18 combined with the heat/AC units. EVERYTHING is ala-carte including parking. Not even a free "continental breakfast". You want a carafe of coffee delivered to your room in the morning? That will cost you about 16 dollars. Two eggs, bacon, home fries and toast for one? That'll be 33 bucks! The only bright side was the staff who were VERY cordial and helpful. Other than that, you can keep it. You can stay in the middle of Manhatten for what this place charges, and provides ZERO amenities.

Global advisory board booked with 10 people flying in from all over the world. Four of them arrived between 11PM and 2AM to check in to a set of "pre-paid, pre-booked" guest rooms. They were guaranteed. The hotel gave the rooms away and these 4 guests were taken to the next nearest hotel, a half hour away in Somerset. In the morning they were supposed to be sent a car to get them to our meeting on time courtesy of the Hyatt. The car never showed up, they walked in a little late and had not made the breakfast.

The meeting room was right next to the kitchen on the first floor (I think the Garden room). We heard dishes being stacked, employees talking, the employees cell phones going off throughout our meeting. It was difficult to hear and distracting for the participants.

The ONLY thing I didn't like about this hotel is that we had to pay for parking. Aside from that a wonderful experience. Wish I could have stayed much longer. Very clean, contemporary, elegant, comfortable room with an amazingly comfortable bed. Nice size. We've stayed at a number of Hyatts and it lives up to its name. Because we travel a lot I expect whatever hotel we stay in to be very clean. Our room was just that.

We didn't use any of the amenities offered by the hotel so I can't describe the pool, gym, or restaurant, etc. 2 blocks from New Jersey transit in the college town. A number of really good restaurants within walking distance as well. Eat at Makeda's if you possibly can. GREAT atmosphere & food. Large, loud wedding party staying at the hotel while I was there but I never heard a thing after shutting the door to the room. Staff was professional, pleasant and very accommodating.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone & will stay there again.

I need to travel very often . There are only three things I ask for a hotel: clean room, comfort bed and low rate. I don't really care about breakfast or the gym or the pool.

I got the Hyatt from PL for a nice rate. But the parking kills the deal. The parking is $13/day. Although the room is clean , the staffs are nice and the bed is good. I will try to avoid this zone and this star rate next time. However, the hotel itself is still very nice if you don't care about the parking fee.

Used Hotwire to book this property and was pleased with my stay. Hotwire price was very reasonable for the hotel that I won and I was quite happy to get the Hyatt. Hotel 2 blocks from New Jersey transit. A number of restaurants within walking distance as well. A number of groups staying at the hotel while I was there so a little loud at times but all noise seemed to subside about 8 PM. Staff was pleasant and very accommodating in holding my luggage while I went into New York City. Nice sized room and very modern. Did hear some noise from the next room but again that subsided later into the night. Would stay again especially at the Hotwire rate.
