“Rats Maze”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

The rooms are cheaply decorated, the light switch in the room doesn't work, the curtains are torn, the hotel is like a maze to get through. They have a nice shower stall and no tub which is great. The breakfast is more suited for a Motel 6. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Westin

Room Tip: Lots of Road noise!

I stayed here on business last week. The hotel was a good value overall. It had free wifi and breakfast. The rooms were acceptable. The suite area was clean but the carpet could use a deep cleaning. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean and well maintained. The lobby was well maintained and had a area for socializing.

The only disappointment was the breakfast services. We had to wait a long time and even ask for drinks.

this was a nice hotel. no issues like in other reviews. the hotel is near everything. th roads can be a challenge if not from the area.as in trying to get around. traffic during the week there are am and pm rush times. can get quite congested. thats the whole area not just the hotel. as for the hotel the pool area was big. its in a greenhouse type of bldg. so can get a bit hot if no doors are open, the hot tub is hot. jets take a couple of minutes to get going. if comimg from the lobby to the pool area there is a step down your not warned about. so im warning you!! the lobby looked fine to me. clean and unobstructed. are sitting areas. free newspapers. a snack shop. ok prices for a hotel. use wawa's there like a 7-11. theres one on rt-73 on the northside. check in was easy. staff friendly. easy to get around in the hotel. the room was clean and well stocked. yes could use a few more tv channels. the living room part when you walk in is spaciuos. large screen tv. do be careful of hitting the buttons when you first turn it on or you could end up paying for movies you didnt mean to hit. just hit the channel arrows and it will go right to the different channels. from that area you can hear the chatter and noise from the hallway. which was not much. but you can hear it. the next area you would go to is a wash area, then the bedroom room. you close those doors you dont hear nothing. bedroom just enought area to walkaround bed basicly. has a couple of closets, large screen tv. bed was comfortable. overall quite satisfied with this hotel. for some reason lower rated than it should be in the area. dont know why!

I stayed here for business and found it to be a very mediocre hotel stay for a Doubletree. The carpet behind the front desk and in the hallways were super dirty and worn down. Tiles were missing from the ceiling. My room smelled like a dirty sock (I'm guessing it used to be a smoking room). The staff from the front desk people to the servers at breakfast were all flat. This could be from having to smell the chlorine fumes from the pool which is located right by the front entrance. A joke, sort of. I had to ask from my cookie and free waters that come with my status. Just kind of a very lazy vibe all around. This all said, the hotel itself has a cool layout and the size and layout of my room was great. The hotel just needs some new carpet and the staff a big hug to cheer them up.

Stayed there earlier this year and planning a return trip. The 2 room suites are perfect if you have small kids. Can set up a crib/pack-n-play in one room and sleep in the other. Hotel was clean, friendly staff and indoor pool was a plus.

I spent a night hear over the weekend, which was the third time I stayed here. I only stayed here because the last time I was here they were undergoing renovations. At this point I can’t really say what was renovated. This hotel is old, as illustrated by the cubbies that used to contain payphones on the ground floor. The hotel smells dank, with a faint smell of cigarette smoke throughout. The restaurant serves the most pathetic looking continental breakfast – all packed onto one small table. The front desk once again made a mistake a did not provide me with the correct coupons that were included in the rate I booked which I had to bring to their attention, and housekeeping apparently though I would not mind them leaving a prior guests (I hope) pair of underwear in the closet.

Our family stay at this hotel was a wonderful experience. The sales coordinator was great setting up our rooms for the family reunion. The rooms were very clean, housekeeping was good and the breakfast was excellent. If we use this hotel again we would negotiate a package to have our banquet at the hotel. The desk clerks were very professional, polite and make it very easy for checking in and out. As the event planner of our family reunion they made my job very easy. I thank every employee who worked the weekend and this hotel for the great customer service. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Some suites are smaller so ask for the larger suites if available.
