This trip was very unexpected as it was for the funeral of my uncle. Timing could not have been worse in terms of work and personal commitments that had to be juggled. And then leaving the sunshine and pleasant temperatures of Texas for the record breaking of cold the Northeast did not help to lift my spirits. But from the moment I arrived at the hotel, the staff went up and beyond to ensure my family members and myself were comfortable and had little to worry about other than the family matters at hand. We were always greeted with a smile, 'what can I do to help', and 'we were thinking of you today'!

The hotel is new ----- the rooms spacious, beds were awesome (slept like a baby!) and workspace perfect for spreading out the laptop and tons of paper (yes, I had to juggle work matters too!)

After the funeral, they allowed us to have a family gathering in the lobby where all could chill in a warm and comfortable environment (instead of all piling into one hotel room!)

I have never stayed at Wingate before ----- and I have stayed in a lot of 'very nice' hotels as I travel extensively overseas. But I would trade those four/five star luxuary hotels for the comfort and genuiness of the Wingate staff in a moment!

This is a wonderful new and clean hotel that's right off of the NJ Turnpike. Rooms are equipped with LCD HDTVs, but unfortunately are served by analog cable which looks like crap on these displays. The entire Comcast analog cable lineup was offered. The zoom mode is unlocked on the TV, so viewers are able to turn off the default stretch-o-vision mode if they desire.

The fan in the bathroom is wired into the bathroom lights and was quite loud. I tried to use it as little as possible. The walls were of the standard "not quite thick enough" hotel variety. It was easy to hear "activities" going on next door, which luckily did not last too long.

The toilet offers a choice about how much water will be used for the flush and cleared nicely. The entire property is fitted with carbon monoxide detectors. The room had a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator.

I found it was easy to get into Philadephia from the hotel by driving over to the Lindenwold PATCO train station and riding it into the city. The station had free parking and saved me the hassle of trying to navigate Philly's streets in a car.

Brand new resort. Clean. Beds not so comfy. No pool. Tiny whirlpool off of lobby and enclosed in glass right off main entrance...not very private. Just there for one night so it was fine. Breakfast was the usual...waffles, muffins, breads, yogurt, cereal, sausage-type patties and fruits.

We thought this particular Wingate (Clover Rd) was exceptional. The room was squeaky clean and very roomy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price was right too! We stayed for 5 nights and have absolutely no complaints.
