“Secret Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2012

Approaching Batiluva in the transfer boat is an awesome experience. The water is a shade of tropical blue like no other. As the beach gets closer the paradise effect kicks in an irresistible urge to dive into the lagoon takes hold. Your own secret paradise unfolds as you walk up the beach and into the resort property. Lush green tropical jungle to the rear, turquoise lagoon at the front and perfect white sand between the toes- it is a jaw dropping dreamy setting. Mr Dan (the local Surfer Dude and owner) and Miss Sonam (the Batiluva Princess) plus their resort crew have created something very special. They are awesome hosts and compliment the paradise location with lovely food, cold beers, nice huts and cool adventure activities- mostly snorkelling and surfing! This place rocks. The beach is 300m and the entire area in front is marine reserve. The whole Batiluva experience feels pristine and untouched- a natural wonderland. I've gotta give this spot the full five stars cause i loved every moment...vinaka vaka levu!

Wow, I was born and raised in Hawaii, been everywhere in the pacific and I have never seen such a cool beach resort. It was right out of The Blue Lagoon. Great location so rustic, relaxing and beautiful. Humble but cute cabins, so secluded, no road access, resort is awesome.

It is 45 minute boat ride to surf Frigates, and if conditions are bad it is a brutal 2 hour boat ride back. food is great, staff is great. Owner is very nice but she might have stayed on the island a little too long.

Rustic place, so cool well worth the visit! Beautiful!!!!!

Beautiful location, amazing hospitality, incredible food, great snorkeling right off the beach, great value! Very thrilling boat ride/transfer from the main island, not for the faint of heart

Room Tip: Rooms are very basic, but comfortable

Gosh. My husband, son (now 8) and I come here every 2 years, first time was in 2000. There isn't anywhere else on this tropical earth as good as Batiluva... its not in Pacific Harbour, thats where you catch the boat out to the Surf Resort on little Yanuca Island in BEQA Lagoon (not the Sheraton Yanuca Island). It is such natural elegance, like we are shipwrecked except the food is GREAT, the place is super clean, the privacy top - only beds for 16 people. A true adventurers paradise, for families, couples and surf crews. The price reflects the adventure style - no pools, just like 5 star camping, eating and laughing....
go there!! My adventurous 72 year old motherinlaw and boy friend loved it too...

Room Tip: seems there are 2 family/couple rooms, rest are bunks - all have clean sheets made daily and mosquit...
