Another discovery from Restaurants.com that was worth the find and the trip for dinner. I took my daughters there for a daughter's night out since both girls enjoy Mexican cuisine.
We walked right in and sat down, shortly after 7:30PM, so we don't know what the normal dinner rush looked like, but even on a Friday night, it filled up quickly after our arrival. We didn't like the table near the door, the cold air made for some chills as people walked in and out, but it really was a minor issue.
We had a very nice young lady for a waitress, but it was obvious English was a second language. She was a challenge to understand, but after asking her to repeat the specials a couple times, I ended up ordering on just based on how it sounded. I was not at all disappointed in the meal and the girls had a real challenge finishing up their meals, the quantity was more than expected. The food really tasted authentic and I'm looking forward to going back.
Our only challenge was the service. I could get over the language issue, we could have just ordered off the menu. But timing was really bad, it was almost that this young lady either was new or didn't normally work tables. We ordered drinks almost immediately after sitting down, but we had to ask for the drinks twice. The meal starts off with nachos and the dipping sauces are pretty spicy, so the girls really needed the drinks. We waited again for our soups and to give you an idea on the wait, the soup was on the table and it wasn't more than another minute or two the entrees arrived.
Again, while the service was lackluster, the overall experience (which is about the food), was great. Looking forward to heading back with the girls again soon.
