“Very Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2014

We met another couple here for dinner and all of us had a very good experience. We came on a Friday night, it was busy, we had a drink at the bar while we waited for our table. The bar is cozy, and the drinks and service were good. We sat in a short period of time, our waitress was quick and efficient. Our appetizers, Roxanne's chips and calamari were delicious. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, I had the salmon (excellent), my wife had a pizza (she loved it!), they were nice proportions and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, great spot for a casual date or meeting with some friends.

“Great Seafood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2014

First time at Roxanne's. We were surprised to see how busy it was for a Monday night. Once we tasted the food, we understood why. We ordered the seafood fradiavolo, and it was delicious. Nice assortment of shellfish, all perfectly cooked in a spicy (but not burning hot!) marinara sauce. Friendly service. Don't miss it.

“Great Pizza, Unattentive staff and dreadful smell”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014

Great pizza, wood burning stove freshly made pizza- but you must eat in as it does not travel well. Good salads to accompany the pizza and you can mix and match toppings to taste. We have been going there for the past five years. But the last two times have been lackluster. First, the wait staff seats you takes your order and then forgets you. Perhaps you would want a second drink, perhaps you would want additional food- you are out of luck.

Secondly the worst seepage of lavatory deodorizer possible. Sitting in the inside restaurant no matter where you smell the sweet berry smell of lavatory deodorizer. It is bordering on sickening and the staff says oh yes, but there is nothing done. Unfortunately, I think this was my last visit as this was not conducive to pleasant luncheon conversataion.

Alternately you can wait until you have a head cold and then try the restaurant. ugh!

“Perhaps Sting was referring to this Roxannes?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2013

We don't live in Mahwah but my wife and I never have an issue traveling to Roxannes. Everything is good. Food, Service and Ambiance. We like sitting in the outdoor enclosed area. Yes, even in the Winter. The heat lamps work. Our favorite foods are the veal and chicken capriciossa dishes. Last night I tried the grilled salmon - another winner. The wait staff is friendly and eager to please. This is not an intimate Italian restaurant. It's also a fun place to hang out by the bar, order appetizers and watch a game. Oh, did I tell you about the brick oven pizza and the Roxanne salad? Terrific. yes, parking is tight but on weekends, it's free valet parking only. You could always park across the street and cross Franklin Turnpike. Another reason to visit New Jersey!

“Delicious meal, nice size portions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Visited Roxanne's for the 1st time this past weekend and most likely not for the last time. First off, I would recommend sitting in the outside area (enclosed, heated), because the inside area is very warm. Also, if you're looking for quiet, this is not the place to go, but it didn't bother me one bit. The pizza MUST be very good there, because many people were ordering it. We were looking for more of a main meal. I had the veal parm. Very thinly pounded, and it was almost sticking off the sides of the plate it was so large. The mozzarella cheese on top was SUPER fresh and the sauce was very sweet and delicious. One of the best veal parm meals I have ever had. Try not to fill up on the bread and dipping sauce (which is hard, because they were both very good). We got the garlic and oil pasta instead of the traditional red, and all I can say is you REALLY have to love garlic to enjoy it, because it was a bit overwhelming. Garlic cloves everywhere. Looking forward to going back...
