“A nice stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

A block of rooms were reserved by the bride and groom for their wedding. It was a very good choice. The staff is friendly, courteous, and professional. Our room was spacious and very clean with a king size bed. The bed was a little soft for our liking. But after a great wedding ending at 1AM in the morning it was still a welcome respite. We did not take advantage of the indoor pool, although the area looked very clean, nice, and inviting. The only snack vending area is in the pool area, which is a minus. However, there are soft drink and ice machines on the floors. The bar doesn't open until 5PM when the restaurant opened which is another minus if you're looking for a drink. The bar also did not have any bar snacks, but you could order from a limited bar menu from the kitchen. There are plenty of fast food and other restaurants in the immediate area too. The grounds of the hotel are well maintained and there is a small outdoor seating area at the entrance. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again.

My husband and I needed a place to stay in the area because of a death in our extended family.. Stressful, right? Could have been, except that we had the good fortune to find the Westminster. First of all, our room was immaculate, and the beds and bed linens were comfortable and soothing. Excellent TV, desk, bathroom, toiletries, hair dryer - you name it -- very good quality. Every staff member was courteous, friendly, and helpful when needed. The continental breakfast was amazing -- not just lots of food, but a good selection of healthy choices, which is important to us ( we are in our mid 60's). And the pool was wonderful. I was able to do water aerobics each morning before the day with family began. Getting a good nite sleep and a healthy start to the day enabled us to be helpful with our young grandchildren during the day and to face the mourning process. We are grateful for our 4-nite stay, would definitely choose it again, and recommend it, without reservation. Really fits that it's on Mount Pleasant Avenue - for us it was a very pleasant experience in the middle of the very unpleasant
(funeral) event we were in the area for.

Room Tip: I didn't rate the spa because I didn't go to it. We did bring our two grandsons to the po...

Rooms were a nice size. Very nice property. Beds incredibly comfortable. Parking ample. Front desk was excellent. Very personable when confirming my reservation and upgraded us to keep us away for a wedding being held in the ballroom. Carpets a bit worn. Minimal outlets in the room made it a bit difficult for
A family of four to charge our devices. Weird unecessary piece of furniture housing a mini fridge taking up a lot of the space in the room. For some reason housekeeping couldn't get their head around the concept that four people required 4 towels and would only leave us two during the course of our stay. They were very prompt in bringing them when calling. Overall I would stay here again when in the area, but wouldn't necessarily seek it out b

I travel frequently and stay in various grades of hotels. The staff are friendly enough, the rooms are fine. My aircon sounded like a 747 engine, but kept the room cool. The bar area was good with a very good selection of beer, wine and whiskey. Breakfast is simple, but sufficient. All in all a good place to stay.

I've stayed here many times and this hotel is great. The bed is so comfortable, nice linen, good and thick towels and great toiletries. I always appreciate free bottled water and bath robe. One downside is the speed of wifi is unbearable. The went from none password to password required and now none again, but it was never fast to even open web page. There are only 2 elevator areas and a lot of walk if your room is far from them. The parking is awful. It's already difficult enough to find one that's close to the gate and sometimes you can't find any, when there is a wedding or so. They never applied the miles correctly and they have my profile in about 5 or 6 versions, every time you book, they may create another profile that's what they say. And the breakfast is not as good as before. Overall, happy with it, will recommend but there are a lot of room for them to do better

Room Tip: The room is not that big so I will get a king instead of 2 double if you travel alone

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your detailed review and we deeply appreciate your loyalty. While I am happy to hear that you are pleased with many aspects of our hotel, I am dismayed to learn that you also have some disappointments. I personally would like to thank you for sharing your both positive and "not so positive" feedback with us. We always look for ways to do better and improve our operations. I would like to have the opportunity to speak with you directly to understand the troubles you are having with your "miles”. Our frequent flyer’s program is such a great way for us to thank to our guests and also add value to their bookings. It would be my pleasure to resolve this once and for all. I look forward to hearing from you.

Last Sunday, my wife rented one of the ballrooms for a Bridal Shower for our daughter at the Westminster Hotel.
The event could not have been more wonderful!
First, we were pleasantly surprised with how the preparations were well under way even before we arrived.
Second, the room was absolutely gorgeous.
Third, and most important: the staff was sensational! Peter, the "maitre d" was extremely helpful, efficient, and cooperative. He was extremely attentive to all details, and made sure that the room, food, gifts, etc. were arranged exactly how we wanted them to be. The wait staff was professional and courteous as well.
Everyone was very pleased and impressed with the event.
Thank you, Westminster, for a wonderful experience!
