“Great stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Excellent service at the front desk. Attentive greeting and answered all questions and went out of their way to be helpful. Terrific accommodations-clean, neat, romantic. Terrific location in the middle of Lambertville and in walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and attractions. Can't wait to return.

The Lambertville House hotel is nicely situated in the centre of the picturesque town of Lambertville. This is a small hotel ( think old coaching inn). There is a small lobby accessible from both the car park and the main Street. Check in was pleasant enough. I was on business and so it was nice to be away from the usual mass offerings of the chain hotels. The room is on the smallish side but furnished in nice old wood furniture. There is good wireless WiFi throughout the hotel. The bathroom is small but sports a jaccusi (if you are into that kind of thing). The hotel has limited facilities. There is a very cosy bar/restaurant (the food is acceptable but nothing special). Most disappointing is the breakfast offering which is served in a basement room. Fortunately being in the town centre there is plenty of alternatives around. The hotel does not have a gym but does provide you with free access to a local gym about 10 minutes walk away. For the US this is a decent place. If you are coming from Europe or Asia it may be a little short compared to its price.

We were the lucky recipients of The Lambertville House's very generious support of the Princeton Chamber of Commerce via winning an auction item of a voucher for the hotel last summer. I decided to save the certificate for a special occasion, which was our 25th anniversary this past weekend. What a blast we had!! From the very pleasant check in experience to the wonderful suite with fireplace (very welcome on such a cold, snowy night!!) to the lovely, spacious room with a double jacuzzi to the delicous dinner at Left Bank LIbations, the in house dining space, and then breakfast the next day, it was all top notch in quality and service. Plus, the hotel provides free parking, a very nice touch. I hope you will consider going to The Lambertville House Hotel for your next special or other occasion. We had so much fun walking around Lambertville and New Hope, shopping in the stores, but there are so many other things to do in the area that we are sure you will feel very clever, as we did, that you chose this hotel in this location.

Room Tip: Especiallly in cold weeather, be sure to stipulate if you would like a gas fireplace or not.

First time for us at this hotel, and there was good news and bad news. First, the bad news. I found the attitude of both the reservationist and the person who checked us in to be, well, sort of unfriendly. Not rude by any means, but quick and not particularly warm. I also was told that there was parking at the hotel when I made the reservations, but upon arrival we were told that we would have to park two and a half blocks away because the on-site parking was full. We were given a map, and fast instructions as to how to find the off site parking, which was bothersome. I was also not happy about the five day advance cancellation policy, but I guess I understand the need for this. On the positive side, the room was very well appointed. The fireplace, great bed, big room, whirlpool, all made for a nice in-home experience - quite exceptional actually (even though the whirlpool took 25 minutes to fill up and it was a small one, for one person). They had a Keurig coffee machine on the ready in the hallway on each floor, which was a plus, but there were only two cups available at 7:15AM. I took them both for my wife and me. I am not sure what would have happened if someone came after us, but when I checked later they had put two more cups there. So all in all, my recommendation is that this hotel should develop more of a Ritz Carlton customer focus attitude, and they would have the perfect package!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a fireplace and whirlpool.

Just returned from a one night stay and I wish we could have stayed longer! The hotel was very quaint and nicely updated. Our room was on the 2nd floor and had a fireplace in front of our bed and one in the jacuzzi bathroom area. The sleeping area is on the smaller side so the fireplace really heated the room up quickly and then it was very warm the rest of the night . The room was extremely clean and very well kept. They offer turn down service without us requesting it and it was nice to come back to a refreshed room after a dinner out. I would stay here again and highly recommend it. It is very close to many restaurants and lots of antique shopping in Lambertville and a quick walk to the bridge to New Hope.

We just returned from a one night stay. We made an excellent choice. Our room was on the second floor. We had a queen-sized bed that faced the fireplace with TV right above it. The separate room for the Jacuzzi had another fireplace and was huge. We faced the back of the hotel and had a nice sized balcony to enjoy in warmer weather. The room was immaculate and tastefully decorated. The one minor issue I had was the lack of space in the bathroom to place our toiletries. Plenty of plush towels and nice robes. Loved having the coffee maker down the hall at our disposal. This is a B&B/Boutique Hotel. We decided to forgo the breakfast package and walked across the street to the Full Moon Cafe. Highly recommend. We love getting massages and were so happy that Lambertville Massage Therapy is right next door. We each had 90 minute massages that were excellent. It felt like we floated back to our room. Parking at the Hotel wasn't a problem. Plenty of spots available. The staff was always very attentive. Needless to say we will be returning.

Mixed review. The room was great with an excellent layout. Everybody was extremely nice and pleasant. The parking is a problem. Overflow parking is three blocks away and not lit well late at night. 1 breakfast was excellent, while the second was bland. The bed was slightly worn. The fireplace and Jacuzzi were extremely enjoyable. The location is wonderful, easy to walk to many stores and restaurants.
