The inn was clean, and the people at the front desk were helpful and kind. The room was quite large, but a little outdated. The bed, or should I say hammock, was horrible. It completely sagged in the middle. My husband and I had a very uncomfortable night of sleep. It was room 210 (Philadelphia Room). I would request not to have that room if you are booking here.
This place was really in a great location. Short walk over the bridge to New Hope.

We stayed here for 3 days over the Shad festival 2008. Arrived and checked in promtly at 15h00, really helpful and informative front desk staff. The room was on the first floor, and really nicely appointed. Nice little touches such as really nice toiletries being provided.

Downstairs was a really well stocked honour bar. where you helped yourself and at the end filled in a form you dropped at reception. Free 24 hour coffee, and a massive leather couch and fireplace were welcome- the weather was miserable during our stay.

Breakfast was dropped off on a tray every morning allowing you a leisurely start to the day. Parking was ample.

Lambertville and New Hope- a stroll across the river, and really neat little art towns with great bars and restaurants. (There probably more in New Hope by the way.)

Laid back, and nice drives in the area, with Doylestown worth a visit, make it worth a weekend!

This is a favorite getaway for my wife and I. We have stayed here many times even had our daughters wedding reception here.
We have nothing negative to say about the Inn, it has always been a relaxing and pleasurable experience!

I stayed for two nights on Sunday and Monday so I cannot attest to the previous comments posted about noise on a busy Friday or Saturday night. I was situated on the second floor and had a nice view of the Delaware River and New Hope. The room is very spacious with a very large bathroom. The soaps, shampoo, conditioner, etc were good quality. The complimentary breakfast consists of coffee/tea, juice, and a muffin. If you want a bagel it is an extra $1.00. The location is ideal as you can walk over the bridge into New Hope for all the shopping, Starbucks, and other sights. I took advantage of the hotel being right on the river to enjoy a nice jog on the towpath down to Washington Crossing's Park. I found the staff to be very pleasant.

Sunday brunch tends to be very crowded so you must make reservations before arriving to the hotel!

We stayed in Room 102 for two nights in November 2007. There were several problems with the room and the service:

1. Two of the window handles were completely broken and detached.

2. The drains in both the shower and sink were almost completely blocked.

3. The wallpaper was pealing up away from the wall over the heating unit.

4. One of the armchairs was threadbare on both arms.

5. A drawer in one of the bedside tables had no knob, only a hole.

6. There was a bobby pin on the floor, from a previous visitor.

7. There was no evening turn down and no room cleaning during the day, until we called twice. And the cleaning was done that day at 5:30 p.m., an inconvenient time for guests preparing for evening activities.

8. The view from our windows was of a pretty stream, but it was marred by piles of dirty laundry.

The hotel has all the earmarks of a bygone gentility. And the staff seem kind enough, although either not well-trained or well-served by management. Possibly they need more support or training.

This was, sadly, the disappointment in an otherwise joyous wedding weekend celebration.

When I called to report our experience, Kathryn listened, and then hung up. No apology, not any inkling of “getting back to us.” In December, I wrote a polite follow-up letter to the hotel, but received no response. Quite a surprise from such a well-known establishment in a pretty town.
