“Bon rapport qualité-prix !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2013

With my family, I stayed there and it was really interesting because it was located near from the PATH to go to new York city; It's not expensive and it's clean. But, when the week-end is coming, there's a lot of people, so you have to find a sit to take your breakfast and it's really difficult ! there's a restaurant near from the hotel in which you'll find very tasty cheese cakes
.

Room Tip: L'hotel est en deux parties, demander à être dans l'enceinte où se trouve le restaurant, sin...

This hotel is older but is clean; and, while it's location is in an older section of town, it is safe (just a half-block from main thoroughfare).

Pros:
-Budget friendly
-Courteous and helpful staff
-Large rooms with refrigerator and microwave
-PATH station just a few blocks away
-Free wi-fi and breakfast; complimentary coffee throughout the day

Cons:
-Room temperature is too hot (either had to run AC or keep windows open...in December).
-Limited TV channels
-Walls are thin, but running the AC abated noise from neighboring room

Ramada Jersy City is a very decent hotel with close proximity to Path metro station. The rooms are neat with miicrowave option. The soorounding places are slighty deserted though. Good value for money overall.

My son and his wife were involved in a serious fire that destroyed their Jersey City apartment building and all their possessions. They were able to stay at the Ramada for several days at a time when they had not much more than the clothes on their back. Hotel management provided very special support at this difficult time and we will always be grateful. The room was clean, nicely sized and amounted to two separate rooms A very good value when compared to other properties in the area. Parking was difficult, it should be noted.

My husband I stayed at hotel from Dec 6 to 9th. Front desk staff were very helpful and so polite. We checked in with ease and were directed to nearby attractions and parking. Parking was a block away and cost us 12 per day.

Loved the discount store that was nearby that you could pick up forgotten items or snacks.

The PATH system that connects you to trains in NY city was a 5 min walk to Journal Square. We purchased a metro pass that you fill with funds that covered your fare on PATH train and NY subways . It was 2.50 for subway and 2.75 for PATH.

Our room was very clean and stocked . Bed was very comfortable. Free WIFI made it the perfect central hub to plan what attractions we were going to visit .

We were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast selection. Only wished it would end at 11 not 10 am.
Overall a fantastic value. As very clean and great service we will definitely stay again.

We chose to stay here because rates in Manhattan were super expensive during thanksgiving break. We read that this was close to PATH(PATH - The Port Authority of NY & NJ
) station that could take us to NYC.

The hotel is < 10min walk from Journal square from where you can get a train to 33rd street or World Trade Center. You pay about $5 pp one-way to reach somewhere in NYC (path $2.50 plus subway $2.50) . The accessibility is great but it takes up to an hour to reach any tourist destination like Times Square, Empire state etc -so keep that in mind..traveling to and fro LGA was painful.. We took a private shuttle from LGA to EWR which cost $31 pp, then free hotel shuttle from EWR to hotel .. While returning back to LGA we took trains which took about 1:30 hrs..

Maybe pick another hotel if flying to $ from LGA..

This hotel is convenient for EWR..

5 stars to front desk for being super courteous and helpful

Free daily breakfast was very good, the coffee was excellent.

They had bollywood channels on tv!

The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable however the bathroom was tiny..It was hard to keep stuff inside as everything kept falling off..

Good hot water/heater/ac

Very close to bunch of Indian restaurants and 24 hr pharmacy.. The vending machine inside hotel didn't seem to work. Overall ok. Good to sleep n shower if you are visiting NYC and can't find anything in Manhattan..

Room Tip: They asked us if we wanted to wait for a room on higher floors because of the noise, but we got a ro...
