“Always a pleasure!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012

This was our third stay at this hotel. The proximity to Journal Square and the Path trains makes it the perfect place to stay and visit Manhattan. The King suite was HUGE, and having a refridgerator and microwave is a great plus. Very clean rooms and relatively quiet for a city location. We have stayed in Manhattan for twice the price and half the space and heard street noise all night. Would totally recommend it for anybody looking to visit NYC without the expense.

Stayed for three nights to plan a group visit for next year. Fully satisfied with the service from the hotel before, during and after visit. Manager and Staff on reception were excellent and answered all questions. Rooms are large and roomy. The rooms with two large beds are in separate rooms within one exterior and have shared bathroom. Ideal for group booking. Breakfast was adequate although seating a bit limited at busy times. Laundry available. Six minute walk to PATH Station and trains straight in to Manhatten. Good range of shops locally although the immediate area is a little untidy - but this does not spoil the hotel once inside the front door. Prices much lower than staying in Manhatten.

Room Tip: For those with several staying the rooms for four people are within two independent rooms behind one...

Very good hotell. Clean room, informed staff member. Great housekeeping.

Really really close to PATH Journal square and you are in NYC in 10-15 minutes. Stayed here to visit NYC. Will stay again...
Walking distance to great Indian restaurents ( I recommend Paratha Junction) also make it very convenient. Parking in nearby at reasonable rate. Didnot take out my car for 3 days. Taxi to Liberty state park will cost 10-15 dollar and hotel called the taxi for us,

Our stay was good. Clean rooms, helpful Front desk, good location, good breakfast -with pancakes/waffle muffins eggs etc, free airport shuttle etc
. We had reserved a deluxe room. It had a spacious first room with a king size bed and another small room with a full bed. Lots of closets .I did not feel claustrophobic at all like the Comfort Inn at which I had stayed for a night in Chinatown, Queens, NY for the same price.
The wifi speed was quite slow and AC unit could have done better. However not bad at all. No Parking space on the property.
Other than these minor points, everything was great. I will stay again there. There is a 24 hour McDonald and some diner close by. And if you enjoy Indian Food, there is a street full of Indian restaurants 2 blocks away which are open until 11Pm. I

We choosed this hotel because of the many  positive reviews. The hotel is very close to the airport and a free shuttle runs every hour. We've mixed feelings about the hotel and have to bear in mind it's a two star hotel.
The strategic location close to public transport to Manhattan is a pro and the low rates and the helpfull staff as well. Most of the hotels provides the numbers of towels by the following formula: (number of people minus random number), we got seven each day which is far above  standards.
The rooms are outdated and need some renovation, very sweaty despite the airco, the elevators are extreme slow and if you expect a rich filled breakfast table forget this hotel unless you like frozen eggs or some remainings of muffins. Also be aware of some very noisy tramps argueing with each other  late in the evening very loudly on the parking lot at the back of the hotel. But as soon as they left a good quiet night can be expected.
This hotel has potential but some renovation is needed.

Room Tip: Rooms on the backside hotel are quiet, if you hate slow elevators ask for a room on the lower floors...

Having read some negative reviews of this place, I really don't understand what travelers are expecting. We got a clean, spacious room, free WiFi and free breakfast for a low price (AAA rate). The hotel is located 1 block away from a commercial area and 2 blocks away from the PATH train into Manhattan. We had business in Jersey City, but many people stay at this hotel because they can get to NYC in 15 minutes. Good luck trying to get a hotel room like this in NYC for the money. The hotel street is urban residential, the staff was nice, and the bedroom and bath were clean. A drawback for some people is that the parking lot (not free) is a block and a half away - but again, good luck getting any closer in Manhattan either. The hotel was full of savvy travelers when we were there, many apparently tourist families not from the US. A good bargain. We would stay there again.

Room Tip: Our air conditioner rattled but at least it kept street noise muffled.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Our room was clean and its size was OK. The queen beds were comfortable. We also enjoyed the helpfulness and the great service provided by the very, very friendly staff. The hotel has also speedy, free WiFi. It is also very close to Journal Square Station from which you can hop on to Manhattan in 10-20 minutes depending on your destination.

However, the included breakfast is nothing to write home about. Moreover, the breakfast room is very tiny and gets crowded very easily. It is located at a lower level that you can access through a single elevator (or through a backdoor that was difficult to find). The room we stayed in had also a very noisy AC and we could hear guests on the upper floor walking at times. The walls could really use some sound proofing.
