We enjoyed our 2 nights at the HR Jersey City, we had room 111 on the ground floor with a NYC view across the Hudson. Pretty much Hyatt standard, clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Maybe too much furniture would be my only criticism. Gym and indoor pool on this level.

The view from the bar and restaurant are just amazing, day and especially at night. Not sure you would get views of Manhattan like that on Manhattan?

The rates at this hotel certainly make it a viable option for visiting NYC, there is a PATH station right outside, $2.75, 1 stop, 3 minutes and bang, you are at WTC.

Starbucks nearly on the door step too.

Food was very good at the bar, happy to split an order as well.

We had dinner in the main restaurant, a rib eye and a Sirloin, we stuffed the lot, even though they were big American portions. Very tasty and service was good.

Would certainly return if in the area again.

The view is amazing! It's a perfect view of the skyline. The rooms are nice and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful, too.

We thought staying in Jersey City would be less expensive than Manhattan but this place is not worth it. You may as well stay in Manhattan. I will tell you why later.
The hotel look nice and modern, the people are friendly enough, however we stayed here with our 20 month old and asked for a non smoking room. Everything was fine until a few hours later you could smell cigarette smoke. There is no balcony here, so clearly it was coming from other rooms - not very pleasant when you are paying full price for something.
There was also a bit of noise around 3 am in the morning, you could hear people talking and laughing.

We were charged $10 per day for use of the internet (now, this is just ridiculous) and $32 per night for valet (there is only valet here). We then decided to order food, I specifically told them I was hungry after travelling for 14 hours and needed to know if the portions were a decent size. When the food came, I was truly disappointed. My steak, was only teeny tiny and almost rare, not medium -well, it was served with a couple of slices of nectarine and tomatoes ($19) - I knew at that moment that i should have gone to Panera! My husband's food was decent I suppose as was the toddler's meal, we ordered ice cream too and the bill came to a whopping $70! Don't eat there. I would be fine if the food was at least filling - at least serve the steak with some mash or vegetables!

The views of the river are nice but from the fourth floor you have to stand on the couch to see them. Nice Hotel - but definitely could be better. Will I stay here again? Probably not.

The hotel has the advantage of a great view of Manhattan, so if visiting as a tourist, you do not need to take a cruise to see the skyline. As most hotels in the US, sound isolation is rather poor, and thus the rooms can be quite noisy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Located right next to a Path station, WTC is less than 15 min. away during the day, but some taxis have trouble finding this hotel, even when provided with the address.

Room Tip: From some rooms one can see the statue of Liberty as well as the Manhattan skyline, ask at the recep...

Chose this hotel for an early morning flight out of Newark Airport as an alternative to the typical airport hotel. In exchange for a 20 minute drive in the morning to depart, I got a spectacular view of NYC. The trade-off was well worth it. Like virtually any urban hotel, hotel parking was only by valet and expensive. The valet had my car ready in the morning upon request and in fact had a whole bunch lined up ready and waiting for departing guests to come down. My room on the seventh floor was nicely appointed with a well positioned couch for looking out the window towards midtown Manhattan. The hotel essentially sits out on a pier surrounded by water, a public walkway, and views on three sides. The restaurant was closed when I arrived late on a Sunday evening but drinks and dessert at the bar worked well as did a quiet evening stroll outside to take in the view. The restaurant didn't open for breakfast until 6:30 AM which was less than ideal for my flight situation and there were clearly other guests in the same boat but it would suffice for most. Overcooked eggs and less than attentive service marred the meal though the server, when eventually located removed the eggs from the bill. Breakfast was the only hiccup in an otherwise brief and memorable stay and also the only place service suffered a bit. With the PATH train just outside, I'd give this hotel serious consideration for a NYC trip.

Room Tip: The lobby is on the third floor and rooms below on the first floor have windows overlooking public w...

We have stayed at this hotel many times as our son played lacrosse at a nearby college and we frequently travelled to the games. We are always greeted warmly and the staff is helpful and eager to please. The facilities are top notch with a beautiful view of lower Manhattan. The path train is right outside the hotel doors making it easy to get to the city and Hoboken. This is my hotel of choice when I can find the right price as it is a little steep for the frequent traveler. I always check Priceline's rate and then call the hotel to see if they can match or beat it :)

Room Tip: beautiful views
