“Good place for lunch or drinks after work”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

Been to Dorrian's many times for both lunch and drinks. Burgers are among the best in the Newport area, beer selection is good, liquor is top shelf, and you can be sure that if there's a game on that you want to see that it will be playing on one of their many TV's. I especially like that they seem to give equal time to all sports including soccer and hockey (vs. other places that stick to the more mainstream baseball, football, basketball).

Get the sweet potato fries with your meal--very good!

Dorrian's Red ale is one of my favorites and a welcome variation from the usual Coors Light draft.

Bourbon selection is top shelf, and if you've got money burning a hole in your pocket, get yourself a shot of Midleton!

“Decent Irish Bar in Newport”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

Stopped here for dinner my first night in Jersey City. The food was good (Fish and Chips), the Beers were good, and Wings were also good to start with. It was nice sitting out side, roadside. Jersey City is a nice clean, well landscaped area. The wait service was good, prices reasonable, and quality was good bar quality food. Certainly not gourmet, but a decent tasting meal.

“Decent brunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2014

Pretty good food. Had eggs and yummy potatoes. Outdoor seating. Mimosas if that is what you want. Bar food in Newport. Enjoy!

“Great pub, great beer, great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

With a group of 12 from the office, straight after work (8pm).
Just had burgers and the like. Food was filling and whilst we waited a few pints of Guinness. Good quality Guinness at that.
Definitely worth another try if I'm back in New Jersey.

“A Gut Filler”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

Stopped here with a few coworkers one evening since it is very convenient to the office. I had the fish dinner, which for the east coast was disappointing. Others in our party enjoyed burgers and chicken pot pie. Place was clean and service was relatively slow. Acceptable for lunch or dinner while on the road. A little pricey for the portions and bar food. Nothing special.
