I recently spent a weekend at W hoboken with my wife and we had a great time. The hotel is nicely located on the waterfront with splendid views of the Manhattan skyline. The rooms are reasonably big and nicely appointed. The room could use better soundproofing as we frequently heard people in adjoining room which made sleeping difficult for my wife.
The hotel is walking distance to the path so it's easy to get in an out of the city but be warned the train can be very crowded on weekends. We opted to take a taxi back to the hotel to avoid the congestion.
Everyone in the staff was helpful and friendly. We didn't eat at the hotel but if there was one thing to improve would be service at the bar. It was very slow even though there was barely anyone else.
