Went to Pad Thai with another couple after having not been there in years. The food was too hot, even though we were warned by the waitress to try it mild for our first visit. We listened to her and it still came out very hot. We all shared several dishes and our friends had similar comments. I like spicy food. Green jalapeno peppers are not hot. Chili and curries are things I cook regularly. I will typically order Indian food medium to hot depending on the restaurant, and rarely is spicy Chinese food what I consider hot. When I told the waitress at Pad Thai the food was too hot, she just rudely laughed at me and said, "No this is mild".
There is a wider range of dishes than at the typical Thai restaurant. We started with Tom Yum soup, which we ordered mild and it was just right. The spring rolls were nothing special.
The ambience is tight tables and "big-screen TVs". The service is poor. Three dishes came out together, the fourth came out several minutes later. We were pretty much ignored after our food came, and had to ask for the check several times.
