“Not bad, not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012 via mobile

My husband and I, along with another couple had breakfast here. Service was good, coffee was not. My husband had steak and eggs, (steak had no flavor), I had eggs with burnt chorizo, French fries were good, our friends had omelet which was alright, but the bread was soggy. Over all it was ok.

“Average restaurant”

The decor is lovely and the prices are good. We had breakfast. It was good except for the omelet which was overdone and dry.

“Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

Had both a dinner and breakfast there, as it was close to our hotel. Dinner was good with a huge choice of foods...drinks were reasonable. While breakfast was good, we felt it was slightly over priced.

“Still great after 30 years”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012 via mobile

In N J to visit after an absence of 30 years. This was a favorite spot for us then and when traveling down Rt 35 and we saw the diner we had to stop. Nice to see the menu has all our old favorites plus several new additions. It is absolutely a huge menu. Just try to think of something they don't offer. And everything was delicious- and generous portions. I got the El Caballero a skirt steak and shrimp combo with tomatillo and avocado sauce and a side of black beans and rice. Just terrific. Got a slice of chocolate fudge cake for dessert. It looked like the size of the bow of a battleship. Excellent coffee. Very nice to see that with everything that has changed since we lived here that this one terrific restaurant remains as good or better than ever.

“Great Americana Food at wonderful prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2012

The burgers are out of this world and so are the fries. This has got to be one of the best burgers I have ever eaten and the fries have a coating of a crunchy coating I have not seen on any other fry. Such a find !!!
