Food was delicious. We had lunch and they had some very interesting choices. Deserts looked delicious. All homemade. Staff was friendly. Tight squeeze.

“Great little old fashioned cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2012

The Frenchtown Cafe is one of our regular breakfast and lunch spots here in town. We've been going there for 16 years and it's been consistently good across the years.

The cafe is an old fashioned "dinette," small, crowded and noisy. It is frequently chilly in the winter and hot during the summer. It's not a fine dining experience - it's a neighborhood cafe it's relaxed and friendly and the food is great!

Hands down, the Swiss Eggs are the best ever. The waffles are great and freshly made, the omletes are generous and the pancakes excellent. The stuffed tomato is a favorite and there are plenty of dinette standards like tuna salad sandwiches and turkey clubs, and Jersey standbys like pork roll and egg on a hard roll.

There is always a wait on a Sat or Sun in good weather but it moves quickly. Great place for simple pleasures!
