“great at what it does”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2010

i love the newly renovated space, the very friendly staff, and the baked goods. their potato pancakes are great, and the lemon and strawberry ravioli is strange but decent. if you order the right thing here, you can get a great meal. you really can't go wrong with any of the baked goods though. it's nice to see a place managed by such passionate and friendly people.

“Love the new locaction, atmosphere and Julie's awesome cooking.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2010

They recently moved from Milford to Frenchtown, into a renovated space that suits them very well. We love the new artwork! Julie's cooking is innovative, creative and always delicious. I just wish they were still within walking distance!

“Love the Oven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2010

I only discovered the Oven recently, during their last few months in Milford. Usually we just bought muffins, scones, biscuits and cookies (oh, the Gingerbread have me addicted) and have never had anything that I would rate lower than excellent.

We had our first breakfast at their new location in Frenchtown. Excellent! I had the French toast with fresh fruit (and I mean fresh, no gloppy, syrupy fruit here) with real maple syrup (yes, you can get the real stuff elsewhere, but you usually pay for it!).

Service was relaxed, which lead to a pleasurable breakfast - never felt rushed or that someone was waiting for us to leave.

It does get quite busy, so be prepared to wait, but it's worth the wait!

“Loving the Lovin Oven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2010

I've been going to the Lovin Oven for three or four years and it still rocks. Delicious, fresh, innovative options for breakfast and lunch. They even serve dinner. I love everything I've tried, a few of my favorites include the tofu scramble, grilled cheese with tomato, leek soup, and grilled sweet potato biscuits. The have a ton of options for vegans or vegetarians, but they also have many meat options. The fresh juice is amazing, and the coffee is great. I love the atmosphere, it's quaint and comfortable. Sometimes the service can be slow, but that's usually because they are packed. The employees are always friendly, even when it's crowded. Cash only, no reservations - but you can get there and put your name in, then wander Milford. There's also outdoor seating, which is fun but noisy when motorcycles are in town. SOOOO much better than the Frenchtown Cafe - there's really no comparison.
