“NO WAY TO OPERATE A BUSINESS!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

Had a Groupon for this place. Took the time off from work to go tubing w/the kids! Called to make sure they were operating. Recording said they were. Drove over 2 hours to get there to find out they were closed due to a search & rescue on the river! Apparently a child drowned the day before and the police were doing a water search for him.

When we showed up at "THE TRAILER" office, they had kids turning people away! No where was there an adult to speak to! They gave vague answers as to why the recording said they were operating!

I still have the groupon, not sure if theres anything I can do about it. Went on the PA side and found another company that was operating on the river that day.
Unfortunatly, the child drowned on "Delaware River Tubings watch". My inconveince is no match for that familys grief!

“Total relax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012

This is a very safe trip for kids and old adults. My teenage boys were bored, they said once was enough, but for me it was relaxing . You will go during 4 or 5 hours in a tube down the river. Nice view, a lot of beautiful houses in the river side. Pay extra money for the tube with the pillow and take the one with cover button .Used a big hat and pleny of sunblock. Bring water with you and do not miss the hamburgers place you will be very hungry.
Crossing the bridge to pennsilvania there are other places that are more cheaper. Look for coupons.

“The website was misleading”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

The website made the amenities sound better than they were. We went expecting a building to change our clothes in. There was a tent on the lawn with plastic shower curtain dividers and dirt floor. There were only Port-A-Pots for toilets and the shower was four shower heads on a pole in cement.
However, the staff was friendly and efficient. We did have a fun trip down the river. Definitely take a couple of bottles of water and get the upgraded tube...it had a bottom and head rest.

“The good and the bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Paying $7.00 for parking was annoying but we paid and overlooked that. Checking in was no problem but after that the staff was basically AWOL! We opted for tubes with backs and a net bottom. Everything other than the "standard" tube cost more to upgrade ie: connector straps, veggie meal, bottle of water. Don't consider doing this without these upgraded tubes. People with the "standard" tube looked so uncomfortable. The line wasn't bad at all to get into the bus and the bus driver actually helped assist putting the tube into the bus (very awkward). Once the bus left us off all assistance was gone. The walk (although short) to the water was difficult and NO one even asked to help us. We had to ask two kids(and I mean KIDS) that worked for the company who were sitting around and talking to help us into our tubes. Once we started our journey down the river it was relaxing and fun. However, there were people who had problems getting to the middle of the river and also directing their tube to get over to the side when approaching the "hot dog man". They do tell you that you are on your own once you enter the river but somehow someone appears in a boat when they want you to bring the tubes back at the end of the day. There should be someone in a boat cruising the river in case someone runs into a problem. You pay enough for that service. Once you leave the river again, there is NO assistance. There was no line to get into the bus to return us to the parking lot but the bus driver offered No assistance. After almost 4 hours on the river trying to lift the tube was very difficult. The changing rooms had a dirt floor with no benches or anything to hold on to so changing wasn't easy. Showers? What showers? All in all the day was fun but leaves much room for improvement.

“Aargh. Awful.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

It's beautiful on the river, but don't go tubing with this company.  Reading the reviews at least 2 other reviewers had the same experience as us - stand in line for 1 and 1/2 hours to get tubes and wait for bus (plenty of buses parked in their lot but clearly a shortage of drivers).  Float down the river for a bit then stand in line for 45 minutes for 2 hot dogs and a styrofoam cup of lemonade (would it kill them to give out cans of soda? No it would not).  If you spill your lemonade as you wade back to the shore (plenty of people do) they then charge you $4 for a bottle of water.  Float down the river a bit more, scramble up a muddy bank and wait in the gathering dark for half an hour to get on another bus.

The staff clearly couldn't care less about the customers, but to be fair,  the management clearly couldn't care less about the staff.

The whole thing is being done on the cheap yet they charge you a fortune (well over $100 for a family of 4).

I hope they pay attention to some of the reviews.  There were a lot of very unsatisfied customers on the river that day.  But I think their management philosophy is take the money.  As much as they can.  Rake it in.  Then blatantly ignore the chaos and unhappiness.  The End.
