“OK for a business stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2007

Another overnight stay traveling on business. Checked in fairly late at 10.30pm, front desk were efficient and I was in my room very quickly. Corridors were a little warmer than I would have liked, but A/C in the room was good - if a little noisy. Room was clean and as I would have expected for a Courtyard. Internet access was free and easy to access. Great Marriott bed helps you get a good nights sleep.

While this hotel has all the standard Courtyard by Marriott standard features, I was particularly impressed by the hospitality and professionalism of the staff. In addition, the restaurant is a cut above those at other Courtyards, though regretfully it is closed on Sunday evenings (there are several good restaurants within a short drive).

  • Liked — Cleanliness, strong shower, free broadband internet
  • Disliked — Somewhat pricey for a Courtyard

We booked this hotel because all the hotels near Sesame Place were booked. Were we lucky!!! After a fun, but extremely crowded, day at Sesame Place, we drove a bit further (10 mins) to this lovely hotel. It was such a relief to arrive here after the mobs at Sesame Place, that it seemed to me like heaven!!
Maybe it's our ages, but my husband & I along with 3 of our grandchildren (5,6 & 9) really enjoyed our stay here.
We spent the remainder of the day/eve lolling around the indoor pool which overlooks a lovely outdoor patio/garden/gazebo area with chaises, wicker and tables for dining or drinks. It's very low
keyed. We happened to see a few people having something to eat & asked if we could dine out there since the kids were still enjoying the pool. No Problem! So we enjoyed a reasonably priced dinner on the patio that evening! Breakfast next morning was great & the manager came by our table with 3 beany babies for the kids! He made them feel so special.
Thank goodness the hotels closer to Sesame Place were booked because we never would have found this place. I only hope by writing this review it doesn't ruin it for our next visit!

I really liked this hotel. It was clean, had pleasant staff and was really generally just nice. Everyone at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. I went for three day weekend with my husband and three children for a trip to Sesame Place and have to say, the price was right - I got a good deal through priceline. The room was immaculate and decorated nicely, with personal touches, i.e., vase with dried flowers and nice framed photos throughout. The bathroom was spacious and nice as well. Best of all, it was about 10-15 minutes from Sesame Place, but we didn't have to pay the high prices of the hotels right in the vicinity of Sesame Place. We took a day trip to the Philadelphia Zoo and the Liberty Bell as well, and it only took maybe 30-40 minutes to get there! Didn't have a chance to try the restaurant, but many guests seemed to be eating breakfast there when we left in the am. Overall the Courtyard by Marriott Ewing-Hopewell was great and I will definitely be going back!

Have to say, for $83/night (AAA rate) on the weekend this was really a good value hotel. No, there was no lousy continental breakfast included, but for $10/person the breakfast wasn't bad at all and there wasn't much else around. They also didn't charge us for our four-year-old's "breakfast."

Our two-Queen room was very large and comfortable, with actually nice furniture and decorations. And the indoor pool, while not huge, was in a bright and cheerful room.

And it's only about 20 minutes down a nice river road from antiquing in Lambertville.

Stayed at this Courtyard for a night, and was surprised to discover that there is no room service available on Sunday nights, which is when most business travelers tend to arrive. There isn't much in the surrounding area but the hotel is clean and comfortable. It is also just off the highway, which is great for those who are planning to drive to a client, meeting, etc. (if you are on a business trip)

The breakfast is good, although it is not included. But it is convenient. They have a person there who cooks eggs to order, which is great if you are growing tired of the usual selection of cold muffins, waxy bagels and high-calorie danishes that these types of hotels usually offer.
