I generally try to avoid but due t but due to circumstances found myself her. The staff in the lobby greeted me immediately. On my way to the room I took note of the excellent indoor pool and fitness center overlooking it. The room itself and made and made a very good first impression. with a couple of ski with a couple of ski magazines t to enjoy your drink. and the bartender Ernest what prompt and courteous with h what prompt and courteous with his service. In fact without being asked tuned one of the TV"s to a ski channel. Nicely done Ernesto! I enjoyed a few beers in a salad Church at it was some fellow guess before going to the room. if you're stuck i if you're stuck in Newark.

I've stayed here many times - the hotel had a major facelift in the past 2 years. Rooms are very comfortable and nicely appointed. Common areas are very modern - nice restaurant/lounge with excellent food and good service/ambiance. Food in the concierge lounge is very good as well but the service is lacking to non-existing. Nice fitness center but equipment isn't maintained appropriately. Would definitely recommend -this hotel is a great value for the area.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south leg of the hotel have larger, more functional bathrooms. Rooms on the east facing...

We stayed at the Renaissance the night before our flight to Hawaii, so that we could skip rush-hour traffic and get up a little later to get to our flight. The hotel is very contemporary, and is one of the best airport hotels I’ve seen. Rooms were nice and modern, beds were comfortable, and service was great. Though we got in late and didn’t have time to experience the hotel, it looked really nice, from the bar to indoor swimming pool to the workout room. The only issue I saw was the airport shuttles didn’t hold very many people. It runs every 20 minutes, but even though we were on time for the 7:20am shuttle, there was no room to get on, so we had to wait for the 7:40am shuttle. The same thing happened to people trying to get on the 7:40am shuttle.

Although the lobby and rooms went through a renovation, the property still seems dated. It was okay, but not as stylish as other Renaisance can be. If you get a good price and need to be at the airport this hotel may be a good fit.

Rather than drive from Connecticut through New York to get to Newark Airport by leaving at 3am for a 6am check-in and find airport parking, we drove the day before to this Renaissance, spent the night and had a week of parking. The hotel is inviting in winter with glass enclosed flame as one enters. The room was pleasant.. Dinner so-so. Parking in the back permitted us a spot close to the door to the rear of this renovated hotel. The whole property was enclosed by a fence with a gateman at the front. Felt safe. Various airlines people arriving frequently. We anticipate staying there again.

Stayed here for one night when my flight home from Newark was cancelled. The hotel décor is really fantastic – it was very modern and boutique which pleasantly surprised me since I expected it to be like any other chain hotel. The room (king bed) was spacious and modern, very clean. Good toiletries (Aveda). The bed was comfortable. The maids started up making lots of noise in the hallway before even 8am. Other than that, good stay for one night. The airport shuttle comes on the hour and every 20 minutes – it is a very short ride to Terminal A (less than 10 minutes). Also, the staff in the restaurant were really nice. I have never stayed at a Renaissance before and if they are all like this one, I would definitely consider staying in one again!

Stayed at this wonderful hotel for one evening while visiting area for a concert. Prudential center was a short cab ride, cost around $25 one way. Close enough but quiet distance away. Everything was beautifully decorated, staff was great and welcoming and rooms were very comfortable. After the concert we enjoyed the warm, intimate seating area, bar and dining. The food was outstanding, and I am a very picky person. My husband says I should be a food critic! We would go back for the food alone! Nothing bad to say about this place and the cost was acceptable! Keep up the great work, we look forward to stay again!
