“OK Value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2009

I personally like this best of the three Choice Hotels on this same block (Clarion, Quality & Comfort Inn). The last few times I stayed here, I noticed that they list a slightly lower daily rate on the outside sign than you can find online so it might be best to try to call directly (this is even comparing the AAA rate).
Positives - free continental breakfast, small pool, small workout room, good value, nice size room.
Negatives - As earlier posters have commented, there is a musty / moldy small when you first enter the room. I've tried to figure out what this is. Almost smells like the bathroom floor is being mopped with dirty water, but I'm not really sure. If you put on the a/c and the bathroom ceiling fan for ten minutes, the smell seemed to go away. The only other nuisance is that the a/c & heater unit is located directly under the drapes and when on, the drapes blow open in the middle. I have learned to take a clip in with me to pin the two drapes together so that the rooms in the next building over don't see in my room. Anyway, despite these couple of things, I've stayed here before and will probably stay here again.

This hotel looks very nice on the outside. However, the room had a moldy smell and the sheets, comforter, etc. were old and dingy with holes and stains. The lock on the window was broken and we were at street level, so my husband had to prop plastic stand inside window sill to keep it from being broken into. On the whole, the place was no where near as nice as the place next door (Holiday Inn Express) where we stayed last year.

Booked through 1-800 number. as being in West Atlantic City. After two hours searching in the dark we eventually located hotel in Pleasantville- but only accessible from eastbound lane of divided highway. First night room rate was acceptable but was trippled for the second night . Blocked toilet dealt with after first night. Very congested breakfast area with fair choice - regularly monitored + refilled. Main point was about the chain directory address which we felt was misleading. Very little amenities nearby.

Stayed here for one day while making a trip to Atlantic City. The hotel was okay at best - since I only paid $50 for it. Upon entering the building it had a noticeable musty odor. Thank god it quickly disappeared when we entered. The room itself was decent, nice large bed - yes a bit old and outdated, but that was expected. What was not expected was how incredibly cold it was in the room. It was 30 degrees outside and it felt like it was 30 degrees inside. They didn't turn on the heater prior to our arrival, even though we made reservations. After an hour or two it did warm up - but it would've been nice if they turned up the heat in advance. Overall, I only paid $50+tax, so it wasn't bad. Its not too far away from AC and there are a couple of chain restaurants (TGI Fridays, Carrabas) not too far away.

  • Liked — Cheap and a few miles from AC
  • Disliked — Musty smell, freezing cold

This hotel is okay. If you get a really good rate it's probably worth staying at, but otherwise I'd look into some of the other hotel chains in the Absecon area or the Clarion, which is right next door to the Comfort Inn Victoria.
From an initial view, the Comfort Inn Victoria looks just fine. Upon closer inspection the property on the outside shows signs of wear. The inside was a whole other story. The hallways look very old and on the shabby side and although they do appear to be secure facilities, from the inside you might argue otherwise. We actually had to change rooms because our first room was just too shabby and poorly cleaned. The carpet looked old and beat up. The furniture was beat up and upholstery torn. The bathroom wasn't cleaned well and I was very dissatisfied even for the cheap price. I asked to see another room and it was much better. The carpet looked new. The furniture was in good condition and the overall cleanliness was better. I felt fine staying in this room
Bottom line: If you get a good rate stay here, but beware that the rooms vary so be particular. I wouldn't stay here again personally though.

Served our purpose...Checked in and cranked the AC due to an slight odor, but that went away...We spent our 2 days in Atl City...GPS could not find the hotel...search for a Sam's Club to get near the Com Inn...Lots of people eating breakfast...outdoor pool seemed ok...not really heated...but usable...no problems...
5 miles to Alt City (plus .50 toll each way)...

This is a regular hotel. You can stay in this hotel even for romantic getaways. Of course, if you are a millionaire and you still choose to stay here, then your wife or girlfriend needs to give you a beating. If you do not want to pay the premium hotel prices at the center of Atlantic City, then this hotel is perfect. Believe me, it is not that far. It is about 6 miles, less than 10 minutes to drive. The room was clean, it had all the basic amenities like coffee maker, tv, iron, shampoo, soap, etc. It was quiet and the parking lot is next to you. I went here with a friend and we had a great and relaxing time. So, if you want to pay a decent price for a clean and comfortable hotel, this is for you. Of course, it is no Borgata, but you will definitely not regret for staying here.
