“Needs upgrading”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Nice staff, but the room needed massive upgrading. Sinking bed, box tv (it's 2015), no fridge or microwave and poor water pressure. While the property itself is quiet, the walls are thin and I was awoken at 4am by some interesting people next door who sounded like they were fighting. Even with all the lights on, the room was dark. I'd pass.

It was supposed to be non smoking room but the room Smelled very bad.

I was overcharged more than what I was booked the room online. Per the front desk guy, he said "I will only be charged the cost what I was booked online", but he was totally dishonest and a big liar.

Quality Inn can be hit or miss. This was a hit. Super clean, comfortable beds, quiet, nice neighborhood, friendly helpful staff and priced right. What more to ask? Well the coffee machine open all day with gourmet coffee was icing on the cake. It made hot chocolate too!

Needed a one night stop over in North New Jersey, looked around and got this place for around $60. Arrived earlier than expected but this wasn't an issue and was checked in. Nicely furnished, no complaints with the room. Handy to have a fridge too. Wifi worked fine.
Bed was comfy, only quibble was I prefer sheets under the blanket, that's probably just a personal choice of mine.

Was usual movement from other guests but I wasn't unnecessarily disturbed,
Ample parking.
Breakfast was pretty decent- cereals , teas/ coffees/ juices/ some egg and sausage, waffles, and pastries.

Certainly would stay here again and would choose it for a longer stay.
Good work!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2014

I was traveling to New Jersey in May 2014 along with my colleagues for a business trip. I have chosen this place after spending sometime on TripAdvisor. I am proud to say that I have made a very good decision to chose this place.

We were in a group of four including two ladies. We booked the hotel 5 days before our stay and it was hassle free. Before coming to this place, we stayed in Crown Plaza near Cranbury NJ. So our expectation were high from this property.

We landed there early so they have advised us to keep our bags with them at store room. Since we were in rush so we went ahead with that. In evening when we came back, our rooms were ready and they assisted us to put our stuff in the rooms. One of the rooms we got had an issue with latch as it was locked from inside. They immediately allotted us another room. Good service with genuine smile.

Property wise its good property. Rooms were nice, clean and well maintained. Bathroom and toilets were cleaned really well and towels were also clear and spotless. we opted for separate beds in double occupancy and beds as well as the linens were good.

Location is the star attraction of this hotel. Hotel is little inside from the road and has got good greenery around it. There are restaurants, big shops, stores at just walk able distance. The best part for my colleagues was Akbar restaurant which serves authentic Indian and Asian food. They got discount coupons for Akbar hotel from Quality Inn and they were very happy about it. Even I spent a good time in proximity of this hotel while was walking around. If you are planning to roam around in NJ or have plans to go New York or DC, you should check this place for sure. It is near to metro station as well as highways are also close by.

Staff was good and they were courteous. Since three of us had to check out early (4am), they made sure check out was hassle free. The last person among us had breakfast there and he checked out late. He was also very happy from the hotel especially on property and services wise.

There are other good properties also in near by area but looking at location, services and cost wise, its a decent hotel to stay in Edison NJ.

I would love to stay here again in my next trip.

The Quality Inn of Edison can't thank you enough for your wonderful comments. We appreciate that you noted the location, near the highway, but in a quiet cul de sac. We are thrilled you enjoyed Akbar, a restaurant known far and wide. Please stay with us again on your next journey to Central New Jersey.

Situated far enough off US 1 not to hear road news, yet very convenient location near relatives in Highland Park. Was not bothered regular tv screen vs flat screen. Breakfast is in line with value pricing.

Thank you for noting our convenience to US RT 1, while still being a quiet hotel. We are glad that you noted that there is a good value for the price.

We hope to see you again, here in Edison, NJ, one of the homes of Thomas Edison.

Happy Travelling!

My husband and I stayed here for one night. It was okay, but the room really smelt and the beds weren't too comfortable. The wifi wasn't working for us so the guy behind the desk gave us a number to call and sort it out ourselves. Breakfast was included and we thought was really good so were happy with that. As I said in the title, it was okay for the one night but we probably wouldn't stay here again.
