“Stunning View, below average rest.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2012

We had been wanting to try this place for a while, and were slightly dissapointed with the overall experience. Though the view is absolutely spectacular, reservations for the patio are highly reccomended as all tables were booked when we tried at 4pm on a Sunday. The waiter was highly unprofessional when he brought over the wine, and hoped that we wouldn't notice that it was of a different year than we had ordered. When we confronted his mistake, he informed us that he was out of the original bottle we had ordered. The food did not make up for this mistake either, as they were out of both items we wanted to order, and what we did eat was scarcely even average. If you want to pay for a nice view, this is a great place; otherwise, would not reccomend it.

“Nice, cozy restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2012

My husband and I live around the area and everytime we pass by this restaurant we'd see a lot of people coming in and out. We decided to give it a try and were delighted.
We had crab cakes and the French onion soup for starters - crab cakes just OK and french onion soup was delicious but then again I've never had a bad french onion soup anywhere.
I had the chillean sea bass for my entree and my husband had the fettucine lobster. Both were very delicious! With a bottle of their most inexpensive wine the bill came out to about $120 including tip. We thought it wasn't bad. If you want to get a view by the water in Manhattan the price will go up way higher.
FYI this is not an upscale French restaurant, which I thought it was.
All in all the service was great food was delicious and the view and atmosphere is lovely and I don't believe the food is over priced.

“Love this restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012

The views alone will sell you on going to this restaurant. We wanted to sit outside but the weather was a little too cool so the waiter was nice enough to find us a table with a view of the water. Everything we ordered was delicious and we were not rushed at all. Prices are about average/high but this restaurant is worth it. We're going here again for a family party next month and I can't wait.

“Best New Year's Ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2012

After our original plans for New Year's fell through we were able to get reservations at Le Jardin. The price fixe menu was excellent. Standout dishes included the wonderfully rich and creamy lobster bisque and lobster thermidor. The price was quite reasonable for a four course meal with Champagne toast ($105) with a view of New York skyline and the GW bridge AND they had live music! The staff was crazy busy but still managed to be very attentive (thank you Cecelia!). We also loved the diversity of ages at the event, there were families with young kids and older kids, younger couples and older couples and groups of friends. We danced 'till our feet gave out, hugged our newly met friends and wished them the best of everything for 2012!

“Not trained waiters and average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2012

We have made a reservation a month prior to attendance of this restaurant, only to find that they are fully packed. After waiting for around 20 minutes, a hostess prepared a sit for us. However because they had no available seats, they arranged for us a table with chairs from backyard. Everybody is not polite at all. Waiters are not well trained as forks, spoons and knifes were constantly falling to the floor. The food is average and too expensive, great tiramisu. Music was boring. A view out of restaurant is amazing.
