“Great Thai food in East Rutherford, NJ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

This was my fourth visit to this excellent Thai restaurant in East Rutherford, NJ. (This is a BYOB restaurant.) Service is always very prompt and efficient. I have enjoyed really delicioius food here all four visits. Do try the tasty Coconut Lemongrass Chicken Soup and the Roasted Duck in Red Curry (yum!). Really, everyingthing I've tasted so far has been great. Enjoy!

“Tasty place, but quantity good enough for kids / babies”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

Food is tasty for sure, ambiance is great, very neatly maintained. The only problem is quantity. You get 10 to 15 spoons of fried rice. one should try this place for sure. You won't regret.

“Sacrificing ingredients and shortcuts lead to mediocre results”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2012

Have gone here on and off for years, and the reviews are mixed. I feel it was better in the beginning, but once they started pre-cooking the chicken, the less than freshly-prepared flavor began to resonate throughout the poultry dishes.

On the last visit, we started with spring rolls (tad expensive) and chicken satay, both of which were average. Then we tried the Coconut Lemongrass Chicken Soup (Tom Kha), Lemongrass Shrimp Soup (Tom Yum Koong), and the Woonsen Noodle Soup. The soups taste fine, though not as robust a lemongrass flavor as we are expected to. The proteins in the soups, though, leave a bit to be desired. The shrimp remind me of sale supermarket white shrimp and the chicken is dried out every time. They cannot seem to get a moist piece of chicken in their soups, but that is one of the downsides of using pre-cooked chicken.

For entrees we ordered the Tamarind Shrimp, Pad Thai (shrimp), Pad See-Iw (chicken) and Drunken Noodles (chicken). The shrimp in the tamarind dish were delightful, and that dish was the most enjoyable. The Pad Thai was vicitimized by cheaper shrimp than the tamarind dish, and the remaining two noodle dishes were comprised by poor-tasting chicken.

If this restaurant would insist on freshly prepared chicken at time of order and utilize quality shrimp in all their dishes, then their food might be worthy of a higher ranking.

“Best Thai restaurant in Northern NJ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2012

From appetizer, soup to main course...all have a distinctive difference. Every course was fresh and nicely presented. Warm decor and a very professional staff that knew their menu items and was quite accommodating to substitutions. We especially enjoy their noodle dishes.
