I travel 21 weeks a year and NJ is a region that I dread traveling to because of the horrible experiences with hotels. Not to mention, NJ just isn't a clean place.

The hotel room and lobby were very nice in appearance. But the odor in the room was horrible. Room 303. It smelled as if a sweaty man had been in the room just after his workout and then splashed on cologne. It was discovered that the sheets had not been changed by the housekeeping staff that spoke no english. Although I don't expect much from Comfort Suites, this was worse than I expected. Not to mention, they checked me out a day early and couldn't figure out how that happened when I went to the desk on my last day and asked for my bill.

We were staying at this hotel while visiting family in the area so we were gone the better part of the day. When we checked in the room was freezing, when we came back at night the same. The heat had been turned down? off? during the day. When we asked about this we were told it was "corporate policy". Finally, we put the "do not disturb" sign on the door for the rest of our stay to keep the room warm. The hotel advertises 100% satisfaction guarantee, but we asked for a manager several times, never saw one, never received a credit. If you plan to stay there, be prepared to return to a freezing room late in the day.

Just stayed at this hotel over the weekend. It is brand new... great breakfast set-up (typical continental fare, good selection..and make your-own-waffles). Rooms were usual new Comfort Suites rooms. Decor inside, reminded me of a new Hampton Inn I had just stayed at awhile back. Staff was great, especially the front desk agents (Nina and Mr. Joe). Would definitely go back, if in the New Brunswick/Edison, NJ area.
