We decided to try Case Bella as each time we passed the parking lot was full (oftentimes the sign of a good restaurant). We made a reservation on a Saturday evening. The tables were so close together that we very clearly heard the conversation of the couple next to us and also of the well-behaved family next to us. They were talking in normal tones but due to the closeness we heard every word. Our waiter was brusque, to put it mildly, gave us the menus in such as way and brought the bread out and just dropped the container on the table. He rattled off the specials extremely quickly and was obviously in a hurry to wait on the other tables he was assigned. My husband enjoyed his dish and he said the seafood was fresh but my veal parmesgian left much to be desired. The veal was so overcooked that I had to really struggle to cut the cutleg (and I had a sharp knife). The sauce was very watery and although a Friday evening, there was another room on the other side where, at that point intime, they weren't placing anyone. Every waiter and busboy seemed to be rushing, rushing, rushing. The outside of the restaurant looks so quaint that we expected a nice relaxing dinner. We had the feeling that they couldn't wait to get us out and to be honest, we couldn't wait to leave as service was poor, my food awful and it was not relaxing at all. We dine out quite often and have been to several types of restaurants on a Saturday evening that are all sorts of different places, casual, elegant, etc. but this was, by far, one of the worst experiences we have ever had. I would not recommend this place to anyone as there are far more great Italian restaurants in the area with better food and ambiance. It seemed as if there were regular repeat customers and for the life of me I can't understand why as we are in an area with lots of places to dine. Hate to write a bad review but in this case I didn't really have a choice.
