We visited Maurizio's on a Saturday night with a coupon and were not sure what to expect. Restaurants in strip malls can uncover gems, and this is one of them. We didn't have a reservation but it was no problem. There is one large main dining room that is nicely decorated, but the atmosphere could be dressed up with either tablecloths or at least placemats and a small candle or flower vase. We ate on only bare wooden tables. Service is prompt and helpful, we did not feel rushed. We started off with mussels in garlic sauce. The mussels were tiny, but the sauce was great. It needed some good, crusty Italian bread for dipping. I also had their eggplant bisque which was exceptional. I had Damian's seafood platter consisting of a generous portion of salmon, shrimp and scallops on a bed of spaghetti with wine sauce, and my partner had crabmeat & sun-dried tomatoes in a bed of pasta. Both were served very hot, and were tasty. It is a BYOB. A party of 8 were seated in a corner and were somewhat loud, but that is to be expected in an open dining room. We'll be back.
