Spicy food. If you don't like spicy - don't go! But if you do, this is the place for you. No beef and broccoli here! Excellent place.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013 via mobile

Recently tried Han Dynasty to see what al the hype was about and was impressed. Had dan dan noodles which are quite popular. Food was served quickly an was delicious. Highly recommend you try Han Dynasty if you want Chinese food with different spicy flair.

“A great spot!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

Friends of ours & their daughter brought my husband and me to Han Dynasty for dinner when we went down to visit with them recently. The decor was modern with cool artwork displayed around the dining area and the service was attentive. I was a little nervous at first because I'm not a spicy food fan (and there are a LOT of spicy options), but even for me, there were plenty of choices. The wait staff also informed us that they could take any of the different menu items and adjust the heat (hotter or toned down) depending on your preference. I also liked that the menu had a heat rating next to each dish, which was helpful for both my husband and me (he likes spicy, and I'm not as brave). The crispy, spicy cucumber was a hit with the table. I enjoyed the chicken with fried rice and my husband loved his Dry Fry Style beef (he used the leftovers to make an awesome frittata this morning). Our friends enjoyed their meals as well. The family style service is also cool for sharing and creates a fun meal experience and a great opportunity to try new things. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would certainly try it again!

“Good Food, Service Lacking, Avoid with groups”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

This is a mixed review. Attended with a group. Was impressed with the food that I tried. Problem was, food ordered didn't show up. Was there with a dining group, 13 in all, planned in advance. Appetizers arrived in a timely manner, entrees less so. Much hyped Dan Dan noodles very good, as were Taiwanese grilled sausages. Service chaotic - one waiter took order, another delivered, but was unsure of what he was bringing out. Guests had to work out who had what. After waiting 30 minutes after the rest of group received their dinners, and still not served, cancelled my order. Explanation initially given was that as this is served family style, it comes out once it was done, so you might have to wait. Then was told they only have 2 woks to use at any time to serve restaurant. Manager did offer gift card as compensation for bad experience once talked to. Don't think a group is the way to go here, at least when ordering off the menu individually.

“Nice. Real Chinese? How rare is that?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Finding real Chinese food is quite difficult if you're not on the West Coast or in China. Thai, yes, Vietnamese, yes, Japanese, yes, but Chinese, you always seem to get that Americanized menu with all of those standard dishes...Kang Pau, General Tso...you know the drill.

This is real Szechuan, spicy and creative. Don't miss this place. If you want typical Americanized Chinese fare, then don't bother going here. You won't even understand the menu. If you want a special meal and a very reasonable price, then get here right away.

I won't even get into the food details. Go to the web site for that. I did find out that each of their restaurants have slightly different menus. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there is one near my home in Pennsylvania, but that location seems to have a bit more traditional stuff on it than the Philadelphia and Cherry Hill locations. None the less, I was thrilled to have one near home.
