“A true pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2012

Like the feel of this place. Took a beautiful old mansion and made it into a Pub. Prices are in line with other places and the food is tasty. Good sandwiches. My husband had a dark beer and he said it was just ok. He thought it would be better in a place like this. Would go there again.

“Great Pub!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2012 via mobile

My hubby and I are planning a trip to Ireland in the future. So we thought we would try The Dubh Linn Square Pub for our anniversary dinner tonight.
We were very impressed. The ambiance was good, the food was great and our sweet waitress was excellent.
We had a few samples of beers we hadn't tried before. My hubby had the meat loaf which is made with beef, lamb and pork. He said it was very good. I had the pulled pork with sweet potato fries and an almond butter to dip them in was really different.
After we enjoyed our meal our waitress (Jennay) offered us complimentary dessert. So we tried brown bread ice cream.
That was excellent!
Will we go back? Definitely yes!

“Lovely patio, terrific food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2012

The kids invited Dad to try this place for Father's Day so we headed there on Saturday night. We love eating outside and when we were seated on the patio we knew we had made a great selection. Great atmosphere, good music in the background. The variety of standards and Irish dishes on the menu gave everyone a nice choice. We started by trying a quesadilla which was served with a generous amount of guacamole and the sausage rolls. Both were thoroughly enjoyed by the group. These were followed by a variety of entrees all deemed at least very good. The meatloaf served over mashed potatoes with a rich brown gravy was pronounced the best ever. By the time the manager came to our table to see how things were going, we had all decided we would definitely come back. When he sent the bananas foster desert over for us to try, we were absolutely fans. Great place!

“Still authentic but we were not full”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2012

We have been to this location perhaps 20 times as my husband is from Scotland and it is convenient. This past Friday we were seated in the bar area as nothing else was available. It was impossible to carry on a conversatin due to the noise level - tile floor, tin ceiling - nothing at all to absorb the noise. But our disappointment was really in the portion size of the Steak sandwich that we both ordered. Although listed as 7oz, it was no where near. The last visit I had Shepherd's Pie and actully informed the server that the meat portion was skimpy - ground meat did not even cover the bottom of the casserole dish. So, although we will probably return, I will stick with the dishes we know to provide value. We also noticed this time that the dinner entrees - salmon for one are overpriced for the area.
