“One of the BEST zoos in the USA!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

We've been to MANY zoos, but Cape May is set apart. The cost is a free will offering by the car load...so EVERYONE can afford it. LOTS of easy access FREE parking. Lots of picnic pavilions with grills to enjoy family time and you have the option of picnicing instead of buying food, if you want.. A HUGE playground for the kids....all of this before you even go in the Zoo.

Once in the zoo, while there are cages for some animals, MANY of the larger animals are in HUGE open habitats that you walk over so they have room to roam but visitors can still get close to the animals. We love there's LOTS of trees so you didn't feel the sun beating on you all day.

It can be an all day stay or just a couple hours, but it's one of our MUST DO visits every time we head to the Jersey Shore!

“Great zoo!”

Wonderful time at a free zoo. It is very nice! Parking fills up quick and it can get crowded though.

“Best zoo around”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2014

I've never been disappointed with this zoo. It's incredibly clean, landscaped, and loaded with great animal exhibits. The animals are mostly in large natural habitats. There are overhead "boardwalks" for viewing. New and bigger habitats are currently under construction for some of the animals that are in smaller ones. There are picnic pavilions, playgrounds, a gift shop, a merry go round and train ride, lake, and places to grab a bite. And of course, it's free!! Great family place!

“Awsome Zoo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2014

We have been taking the family to the Cape May Zoo for many years. The zoo does not charge admission and operates on donations. The variety of animals is impressive. It is very clean and meticulously maintained. There is plenty of shade to keep you cool if visiting in the summer. We have never been disappointed.

“Remarkable Free Zoo!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2014

I have visited numerous zoo's throughout the years and this zoo is so exceptional! There is no fee for admission and the zoo is comparable to multiple other attractions that charge a high rate. The Cape May zoo is located within the national park and it is SO clean and well-kept. There are only two places to get food, drinks, and snacks in the park, but this is definitely well worth the spot if you visit Cape May and the surrounding areas!
